14/10/2020 11:46 | HG .. Great to see you will be a happy bunny like me today (TXP) If ALTN and my other explorers / miners take off, I can seriously look at early retirement. ODR | onedayrodders
14/10/2020 11:40 | On an asset value basis , it’s probably the most undervalued listed gold miner. If, over the next 2 years, they improve production to sustainable 80-100k levels and develop open pit mining at TS, I’d expect to see a £250-300 million market cap, this being a combination of operating profit and a mark up on the asset value ( reserves ). | highly geared
14/10/2020 08:30 | From Twitter, some good points made, suggests ALTN is cheap | grimreaper2019
13/10/2020 16:30 | I can see the original link no problem - shows the mine and dam clearly. | cyberbub
13/10/2020 16:01 | Hmm if you just click on the link it just shows your default location / country. Speaking of satellite maps I see an RNS from Total today, they are planning to use google satellite images to measure up everybody's roofs for solar panels. If you put the following into google then select maps or click on the first map which is Sekisovka070000, Kazakhstan. каз | stonefold
13/10/2020 15:49 | Lol You must live next to me | excellance
13/10/2020 15:47 | The link gives a great view - of my house, unfortunately!.I just wonder if authorities have given a newly restricted capacity in the existing dams - pure speculation..CAML went to lengths to list the international consultants working on their TSF4 dam; one wonders what the PI insurance premiums are like......Anyway, we shall soon see if Tailings storage has become a bottleneck as ALTN expand production..Cheers, tightfist | tightfist
13/10/2020 15:24 | There is buckets of room in the tailing dams. The previous google satellite photos showed the northern-most dam as constucted but empty with just the black liner visible. That dam is by the current photo only part filled. As the recovery rate is not 100% there is still some gold in the tailings waste. Maybe someone will invent an economical process to extract it, before using it to refill the old mine/pits. select satellite view Link won't work so copy all below into browser. | stonefold
13/10/2020 15:06 | they are only saying that ...the "design of the construction" of sec 4 TSF is nearing completion...constru As such, an additional storage facility will be built for stowing over 1.0 mln m3 of tailing solids, which should allow uninterruptible operation of the gold processing plant until 2024. Furthermore, preliminary design work on the construction of sec 5 of TSF has commenced. It is expected that this will be commissioned in 2023 which will ensure the continuity in operation of the gold processing plant after 2024. So, are they are telling us our train is delayed by giving details of the bus they've arranged? If there is any material unexpected interruptions to production, should they not just tell us, or, in previous RNS's did they not explain that various work programs may cause some disruption? We will soon see the truth... | excellance
13/10/2020 14:49 | 7500 would be outstanding! i doubt it'll be that high, maybe 6500 | excellance
13/10/2020 14:47 | Must admit also thought a strange RNS even down to the point they say "nearing completion". Why not wait until completed if you really feel the need to announce it. I do note that they say this will facilitate uninterruptable use of the processing plant so wonder whether there is an underlying message of further patience required in advance of Q3 production. Soon find out anyway. Hoping for 6-7k sales in Q3. | sloppyg
13/10/2020 12:08 | Any long term holder/ follower here will remember Altyns ( then Hambledon Mining) tailings leak into the local Seki river in 2012.. It nearly pushed the company under. Thats when the Assaubayev family stepped in and bought the mine and managed to get the $9.5m fine and charges reduced to a fraction Quite right that Altyn should be upfront with Tailings work to keep the local community and shareholders informed. | vish65
13/10/2020 10:22 | Maybe this RNS is a nod towards Environmental concerns and increasing sensitivity towards Tailings treatment and storage..After the Brumadinho tailings disaster caused 259 deaths in January 2019 adjacent to Vale operations in Brasil, licensing bodies have become more rigorous and accountable. See last month's leakage and clean-up at CAML's SASA tailings facility in Macedonia - also the recent revision to more capital-intensive "dry stacking" at Serabi's new Coringa mine - Scotgold too? These are the ones I happen to have come across..Prudence? Cheers, tightfist | tightfist
13/10/2020 08:24 | They are using 2020 to acquire plant and machinery + refurbish the mill + install decline/ shaft ventilation + develop the declines to access higher grade ore. It is clear that $10 million was needed from the bond issue as part of the above, which is why it was heavily incentivised. My view is they will need the rest of 2020 for the above to be completed and that 2021 should be the year where we see significant production improvement. Provided the gold price remains buoyant, we will see good share price appreciation through 2021. | highly geared
13/10/2020 08:18 | I think it's a very positive rns. They are saying they are planning ahead, and we need to massively expand tailing facilities, and this is material evidence of our vision evolving into action on the ground. I expect we'll see more like this. | excellance
13/10/2020 08:13 | Indeed - Production guidance is probably a little way off. Next update is likely to be Q3 production and (perhaps if we're lucky) an indicator for FY (I'm sure some type of crude extrapolation will be possible). Based on the timing of this year's updates I expect Q3 update around 9th November. | nevgroom
13/10/2020 08:05 | Give them time to bed in new machinery which is still arriving and get to some kind of stability. Production guidance will come maybe next year. Providing production grades and recovery improve q on q that will do me for now. | wrighty46
13/10/2020 07:53 | Mid October. Small matter of 2020 FY production guidance still not released. Do they have no confidence in their mine plan - assuming they have one? Or the mill standing up to increased production? | stevea171
13/10/2020 07:51 | Continued communications ... that's what it means to me | onedayrodders
13/10/2020 07:45 | But we knew they were planning a large increase in production. I had already assumed that any related expansion in facilities would be planned and acted upon. | tim000
13/10/2020 07:41 | Strange RNS! I’d rather hear the Q3 KPIs. Still, there’s no doubt the communications policy has changed radically. | tim000
13/10/2020 07:40 | Obviously they are planning a big increase in production and that requires large tailings storage facilities.. So, thinking big, planning ahead, telling us what's going on!! Good stuff. | excellance
13/10/2020 07:12 | 13/10/2020 7:00am UK Regulatory (RNS & others) Altyn (LSE:ALTN) Expansion of the Tailing Storage Facility at Sekisovskoye Gold Processing Plant The design of the construction of section IV of tailing storage facility (TSF) at Sekisovskoye gold processing plant is nearing completion as of October 2020. The construction work is planned to start in Q2 2021 as soon as the required permits and approvals from state supervision authorities are obtained. As such, an additional storage facility will be built for stowing over 1.0 mln m3 of tailing solids, which should allow uninterruptible operation of the gold processing plant until 2024. Furthermore, preliminary design work on the construction of section V of TSF has commenced. It is expected that this will be commissioned in 2023 which will ensure the continuity in operation of the gold processing plant after 2024. | stevea171
