Heading back down to 1p to 1.5p level it seems. Perhaps the price had already gone too ahead of itself and so coming back down to right levels to reflect actual production and sales

It depends on the cycle. Gold stocks do pay significant dividends during a bull so I would expect that to occur soon. There will be companies making significant amounts of cash at this gold level.

Indeed. AAZ have net cash. It makes no sense to issue bonds @10% interest (I think that's about right?) to pay some of it in dividends. Having done a little research, I hadn't realised how stingy most of the large gold miners are - very few pay decent dividends. Clearly investors don't regard gold miners as income stocks, and prefer all surplus capital to be reinvested in growing output. Which I guess makes sense if you think gold prices are on an upward trend over time.

Yes, AAZ have a policy to pay c25% of free cash flow in dividends. Think ALTN will need all spare cash flow to finance the ambitious growth plans in the near term - I would rather they do that than more debt at high rates to finance a dividend at the moment.

While I agree that small companies with growth potential should be investing into the future, the whole point of investing is to get a return or yield.

Are AAZ paying a dividend?

I can't see any dividend for a long time, not that it matters. All available capital is being deployed to increase output and reserves.

Why does advfn say the share price is 2.25p when Google says it's 1.95p?

Has there even been any trades yet?

I can't really see there being any improvement from our estimates of 50,000 t pcm at about 1.8g/t x 83% recovery, but maybe there will be?

It will be lovely to see those kind of numbers confirmed over consecutive quarters, with moves to improve and upgrade.

Q1 production results were on May 11, so Q2 could be in the second week of August, in 6 weeks time.

I think many numpties on here are just gamblers, betting on red or black, taking tips from pump n dump merchants.

Trading between ranges is a good method of slowly churning a few quid.

I don't really have the time for that so I usually just buy and hold for a decade or two in some cases.
