I'd written these off as held some for what seems a lifetime, but at this level, and now with gold seemingly, but not confirmed as yet, about to go higher I've added a few more. The risk/reward IMO is now well worth a small punt.

But there's no way this stock could legitimately be classed as an investable proposition right now.

Its a strange world though and I've had experience before of a donkey from years ago turning into one of most rewarding 'investments'!

Bo , that was my thought aswell. Waiting for some US or dollar collapse and dragging it out until that happens. To the benefit then of gold producers. As an existing producer with wealthy owners and infrastructure already in place how can this take so long ?

My faint hope is that the owners are deliberately waiting for the gold price to improve a bit, or something we are unaware of re Karasuyskoye is happening in the background, JV/sale, or more likely some political/gvt problem. I can't believe they can't get finance.

My fear is they intend going private shortly. If so, it will probably happen soon.

I thought the ocaissional reports seemed fairly positive , but the share price is a complete failure . . been in since Hambledons , no point in selling now . . . just kind of waiting for it to crash and burn . . so way beyond frustration . . don't really get it , because if the reports are true , then they are making progress . . reckon its a bunch of cowboys digging for gold , keeping share holders happy is not exactly a top priority . . lol . .

Hi Sandeels!

I am continuing to buy in-line with my 'staircase' system step changes. Whether this is foolhardy in the light of lack of progress/information/etc/etc, is a moot point!

Bit concerned by the suspension of KEM due to the NOMAD resigning - after all it is the same family behind that stock. However, I have not let that change my view of ALTN yet.

well took some more this morning at 0.7 as cannot see the owners letting this one go to the wall especially given the FD recent purchase. Let's see.....

Agreed! If the purchase by the FD was a "steal" 23 days ago. what would it be now over 20% lower! One is bound to wonder what is going to emerge re: funding - or is there a likelihood of it delisting?

Chris I agree to a large extent, but have already called the bottom to myself at least twice!! and topped up accordingly.So am going to await concrete news on the financing before making any further moves.

Re read the results and quite admire the job they have done given the cash constraints....I am topping up on the belief the financing gets done...there you go ringing the bottom!!

All good points abv and thanks. Whether due to pog or simply that this just isn't a current priority for the Assaubayevs, the waiting game goes on despite the obvious potential. Either way, the more upside to pog the higher up the priority list funding and development of Altyn is likely to go. Sadly the reverse is equally likely in the short term.
Can't see the family allowing capitulation though, funding and a decent news flow would do a lot to improve the share price ..yawn.

Patience has clearly become an over used word here...come on management team, if there is one thing I hate it is an RNS at 4.45pm on a Friday........

Given the companies restricted cash balances it is intriguing that they have still actively choosing to allocate funding to advance Karasuyskoye.
