Well Cimpress could well be the manufacturer as it fits the bill and remember I think SH mentioned that Visitaprint told Lobo to run the rule over ALT when he worked at Vistaprint. Note the division primarily produces for small/ medium business' - our target market.

RENO, Nev. (Nov. 7, 2016) – The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) and Cimpress, the world leader in mass customization, today announced that the company will open its first U.S. manufacturing operation in Reno, NV. Cimpress, which produces customized products for small/medium businesses, consumers, graphic designers and print resellers, chose Reno because of its superior access to distribution markets and strategic supply chain.

“The desire for customized products is growing and our customers often want delivery as quickly as possible, said Larry Reid, Vice President of New Plant Development at Cimpress. “Opening a production facility in Reno improves our supply chain substantially while allowing us to decrease our time to delivery to some of our largest and most dense customer markets.”

Cimpress’ mass customization platform enables the company to individually customize orders and process them dynamically across its portfolio of more than 20 brands, including its well-known brand Vistaprint. Last year the company customized more than 46 million unique items across a wide variety of product categories including signage and displays, soft goods and apparel, marketing materials, packaging and labels, gifts, photos and more.

“Cimpress is a great addition to our growing portfolio of new businesses in Northern Nevada; it is an exciting time for the region as we continue to diversify and grow,” said Robert Hooper, Northern Nevada Development Authority, Executive Director. “The collaboration between NNDA and EDAWN continues to bring great companies like Cimpress to the area.”

The company plans to hire up to 150 new employees over time to fill a broad range of permanent, full-time positions including plant manager, supervisors, production and shipping operators, human resources and accounting managers. Cimpress received business incentives from the Governor’s Office of Economic Development in September 2016.

"I am excited to welcome Cimpress to Northern Nevada as a new economic partner for our region's growth and employment market," said Reno City Councilmember Paul McKenzie, representative of Ward 4, where the facility will be located. "With over 17 million customers worldwide, Cimpress' future is bright and we're happy to have them as our new neighbor."

“The growing and competitive nature of mass customization has changed the printing industry when it comes to quality, affordability, and delivery to customers. Cimpress’ plan to continue expansion in North America by setting up its first U.S. light manufacturing operation in the Reno area will give them the added resources to more quickly service their customers in the Western U.S.,” said Mike Kazmierski, EDAWN president and chief executive officer. “We are excited to welcome Cimpress and the addition of these quality jobs to our community.”

Business partners involved in helping Cimpress identify and establish its presence in Reno include the Governor’s Office of Economic Development-Cory Hunt, Kidder Mathews-Michael Hoeck, Michael Nevis, Dave Simonsen, Steve Kucera and Panattoni Development.

Cimpress are the parent of Vistaprint and have a large number of brands under their wings. Their 2016 report makes interesting reading when you think of the synergies of their MCP.

Regarding the new print products, this is a total guess but given the numbers it would be worth reading about Cimpress' Mass Customization Platform. They seem to have a very similar target audience and are opening up the platform to allow 3rd party resellers access. Seems a very aligned business model if you read their results or MCP presentations:

They also claim peak output of 1m orders per week.

Couldn't agree more sheep herder. I invested in this company on the basis of future potential. I really don't see the point of the almost daily panic about news, results etc etc

I really don't understand all this talk of lack of substance? Everyone invested surely knows that we are banking on the company to deliver in these massive markets? That's what investing is right? Finding good stories that aren't currently delivering and investing with the hope that they deliver in some time frame set out by each investor.

If you invested in companies that were delivering everything they said then it would all be priced in and you'd be collecting a dividend at best.

As for Market Brands, if they are a new entity then someone obviously sees the benefit of starting this company and trying to win business for Aprinta and ALT. How is that a negative?

Does anybody know if SCSW will provide an online update?

Much as I find Stephen's 180 degree about-turn somewhat laughable, that doesn't mean all of his points should be rejected out of hand.

While the deals announced today are clearly good news and indicate potential, the news does nothing to change the narrative of this being a story stock without any substance... yet. That may well change in time but based on what we know right now this is still all about jam tomorrow. Some people on here seem far more excited than the news flow appears to warrant and I reckon they are setting themselves up for near term disappointment if the share price fails to react accordingly.

It strikes me as odd that the company is talking of increasing the addressable market by moving into new sectors when they haven't yet demonstrated that they have addressed any of their existing market.

Has anyone tried googling Market Brands LLC? It seems it's a new company, incorporated on 17 February this year and therefore with no trading history. When search hits which clearly relate to other companies are stripped out, I'm left with literally less than 10 search results of which 2 relate to this morning's RNS release. Has anyone managed to track down a website for them?

So who is behind them? who is funding the recruitment of 100 new sales staff? what's their relationship with Aprinta and how will a newly incorporated company be able to move the dial on generating income for Altitude?

There may be perfectly valid answers to those questions but for me they are perfectly valid questions to ask given the lack of information available.

The actual bid price is a penny or two higher than that being quoted, and has been for the last hour or so. I.e. quoted bid is 75p but can sell at 77.25p

For those saying results are 8 May, note that results are w/c 8 May so they could be any day that week.

I thought it was a little odd they couldn't be specific about the date at such short notice.

Given that next issue of SCSW is due out 6 May, it could be quite a feverish start to that week!

Tbf to Stephen he does have a point - however, it is the future prospects surely that drive this share price and what we are all buying into

Yes - a potential leap of faith, but one on which there is compelling evidence

All imo
