06/6/2011 15:34 | Added a few more today, some momentum building ahead of main listing. Fingers crossed for a nicely timed & positive ops update post move to the LSE too | pingu08
06/6/2011 14:45 | recent buys around 30 looking promising now. keep 'er lit | juju43
06/6/2011 14:17 | junior pgm miners have had a poor year and are due a run . on the back of rising gold/silver prices we could see a big turnaround over near term | juju43
06/6/2011 14:14 | 40p coming fast | vivgav
06/6/2011 14:14 | thats better | juju43
06/6/2011 13:51 | Good to see continued strength and think we will have to see the full picture play out over the rest of June, with volume likely to rise. Maybe some mainstream press stories regarding the relisting will generate further PI interest with the chance to get in prior to all the tracker funds. Otherwise todays announcement confirms co. will be in Sept FTSE review which should provide some further volume then also in the run up. | ajviews
06/6/2011 11:56 | strange the lack of interest after the aussi rise | juju43
06/6/2011 07:26 | but is the UK not the lead market normally ?? If so , maybe it is changing with the almost 2million volume today . | arja
06/6/2011 07:10 | make that 10% | divinausa1
06/6/2011 06:33 | strong day down under up 8% with volume | divinausa1
03/6/2011 17:25 | I wouldnt have thought Baker Steel would have much trouble shifting the remainder once the main listing goes ahead, should be enough trackers/funds buying to take any they dont want. If of course they want to sell any more that is, perhaps just reducing exposure to agld or more commodity based co. Think I'll see if they have been dumping similar stocks | dvsfm
03/6/2011 16:17 | May not want to sell anymore, time will tell... Think the AGLD's/gold producers will be strong performers before too long either way | ajviews
03/6/2011 14:56 | they have a lot more to sell so wont do us any good here | juju43
03/6/2011 11:02 | Baker steel confirmed as the recent seller (reduced by 18m), with L&G happy to be a buyer recently. | ajviews
02/6/2011 15:59 | Don't think it will take much for this to be approaching 40 again short term and with such strong ave gold prices recently co must be looking forward to preparing a good q results to coincide with the relisting. More interested though in the medium/longer term performance and the co building on its projected growth and earning going forward. Should be (deservedly) rewarding to all that keep the faith! | ajviews
02/6/2011 14:19 | reasonable buying , could finish better than here | juju43
01/6/2011 21:49 | Hit $1550 today | vivgav
28/5/2011 08:23 | GOLD $1536 | vivgav
27/5/2011 20:14 | boadicea, thanks for that . so similar to so called depository receipts in USA representing shares in foreign countries at a certain ratio. Hope to get set on ALD in OZ on monday depending on opening auction price . Uk price today just morrored oz closing price . Have a nice weekend . | arja
27/5/2011 15:48 | arja - DI = depositary instrument. As I understand (but not definitive so could be mistaken) it's the security traded in lieu of the share when a share with issue on one exchange is quoted on another. The actual share remains in the country of origin and is deposited in bond there against the receipt/instrument traded in the other. In some circumstances (where SDRT has been paid on the deposit?) the DI may be traded free of SDRT. Examples here include AGLD (at present but not after the relisting, I think), GNG, KGI, MARL, MIRL. (SDRT = Stamp Duty Reserve Tax, 0.5% in UK.) Actually, it could be another small argument in favour of getting the shares now, before the changes. | boadicea
27/5/2011 14:39 | An early 'summer lull' for Allied. Onwards and upwards from here and any further weakness a gift. | ajviews
27/5/2011 13:37 | yep it was bombed out . recovery in place | juju43
27/5/2011 13:04 | stairway to heaven | juju43
27/5/2011 11:40 | Ukgeorge, in UK we suffer when a stock is a MM stock as wide spread of 1.5p at present which is outrageous ! .25p in oz but really no spread of course as no MMs there and no SD either . | arja |
