Long term, I think this will be a sound investment because of the tech they have...I'm purely interested in determining whether the company should be regarded as particularly cheap historically...

Right up until June 12th 2009 they had around 82m shares in issue so at the height of the share price in Feb 2007 of around £1.47p they had about a fifth as many shares in issue as they do now....can't see how anyone can dispute that as it is contained in historical RNS'.....the money raised in June 2009 added around 100m shares....and more have been issued since....

I love your enthusiasm Cube and I'm sure this will come good...but it's no good people just looking at where the price has been and assuming it will return there...it may, in time, but not because of a return to previous value because between 25-30p, it's already there....it will do better because of new factors going forward which are in it's favour...

I'm really glad i bought this last week.. seems to be climbing quite quickly now.. upwards and onwards.. 85% of my shares are with AGY hopefully it reaches 35p -40p soon.. Any predictions for this week/Next ?

I think your RNS was at the start of 2007 when the share price was at around 12p a share, in your post 2283 you mention £1.20p a share, this was in January 2008.
In August 2007 the share mag tipped AGY when they where trading around 70/80p they went to £1.47 high around the end of the year. Most of this I'm going from memory ..:0))

Sorry Cube....but that doesn't tie up with all the RNS' I've read....at the beginning of 2007 there were 81,950,632 as detailed below....unless every RNS that year and in 2008 is incorrect....

Cube boss, very interesting figures that you have quoted. If they are correct, and I have no reason to doubt them, then we are valued at 1/4 of what we were prior to the stop of the trials. IE to reach where we were then the price would need to be around 90p!! Roll on!

You don't want to bet sja12 do you?
There where 320mil in 2007 and there are 409mil now, and there are only around 79mil to go around, as the rest are held by the Weinstein family, they own 49% the rest are held by 2 institutions and the Directors..:0))

The last fundraising was in 2009 and they raised 22.4 mill, the Weinstein Family bough most of the issued shares..:0))

I think you'll find that there are about five times as many shares in issue now as there were when these were £1.20p....so 24p would make them around the same market cap as they were at £1.20....be careful you are comparing like with like here....

That said, they are in a much better position now imo with green light in North America and a more positive market for biotech at the moment....especially when compared with Circassia.....AGY a long way ahead and much cheaper imo...

Going back very nicely now, and why not! great results to come Mon 24th and we should also have an update on how things have started in the first 3 months of this year, which will be better than expected!.
Like Jimmy said, an update on the US would be nice but, one things for sure, as the trials for Grass are on going, I don't think a partner will be long in coming.
Ragweed in the US is another thing! and I think it's a matter of AGY finding the right partner, and getting the very best deal for them! AGY hold all the cards as they have a game changing Vaccine that will change the way the Americans treat allergies! so the right partner is crucial for AGY....:0)

With over 80 million Americans suffering with Allergies from Ragweed, our Vaccine will change their life's, and possibly cure them after 3 seasons of taking the Vaccine!.

hi dewtrader, yes they were £1.20 and higher, the big drop was when the hold was put on testing by the Americans due to a single event which proved to be unconnected to the drug. Hold was lifted late last year so we have restarted final trials and, hopefully, reaching for those highs again

Its Not as if you are going to sell in the near future.

Sorry peaked to soon last post.... that would be quite a drop in the share price and a real test of character and resolve in the company. I for one don't like my investments dropping by more than 20% so i am in that camp but will see what unfolds

From a technical perspective this seems to heading for the 18-19 marker. If it does and it holds (support) then fine, but if it can't stick then the next support if 14-15. For the 'later in' investors that would ber q
