Just taken a look at these. They are highly geared, and with the market currently hating anything with debt, the price has been murdered. They were profitable at the interims although I suspect things have deteriorated markedly since then. If there is a forced seller than these may continue on their merry way south. Anyone like to enlighten me when their long term debt is up for renewal?

Thanks bollers - Feels like a forced seller, probably an insto .The worst thing in this market is fear itself. It seems like yesterday when they were north of £1.

Condom2 - I wonder if that's what's going on. Someone is pushing the price right down. 8p to sell now, that's about (a normal) years divvy. Either a takeover on the cheap or going bust.

Another case of a pension fund wagging a dog - However interesting to compare to Wensum (cash rich and no pension problems - at least that I can sse) which appears to be selling out (via a so called acquisition) of a private company with debts and a pension deficit)

Business is very tough out there. I could see the share price continuing to fall - given the current credit crunch and pressure on all areas of corporate expenditure. Fewer employees = fewer uniforms.

This company needs some strong non exec directors to sort out the chief Exec. I see no logic in promoting company sec into a Director, it creates another yes man on the board, paying him more money and allowing JB to continue running the company as if it were his own. Who selected the 70 year old chairman, was this a JB nomination? This company needs the axe wielded on costs. This should be a successful company especially since its main competitor is in the sh.. .Time for a new broom and a new chief exec. The activities surrounding the previous set of figures were a disgrace. What are the non execs upto?

nice gradual rise to be expected here as the yield will be attractive to the safe players imo.

"An offer of £7m to purchase the site for residential redevelopment has been received, conditional upon the receipt of planning permission, which, our advisors tell us, is likely to be granted. Having provided for possible development costs the site has been revalued to £4m,an increase of £2.7m on net book value."

Conditional offer of #7m received to purchase ex-factory site in Scotland

little snippet within the results - £7m - thats a large proportion of their fixed asset value - anyone any idea of its value on the books?

Rococo - yep, I agree - the recent fiasco doesn't live up to what they were saying a couple of months before the results - cred lost.

Still cheap tho - can't see me being a long termer here now tho.

The management have lost all credibility. There are some serious institutions in this one who must be very unhappy. At this price it yields about 9%. Time to get rid of porche driving management . This business has a good name but needs to be driven by a hungry team. This will soon disapppear from listing. A bid of £1 and most will sell.
