18/7/2008 08:48 | Bet you're glad you kept me unfiltered after following me around into BVS ah Hate Trader? lol. Watch and learn - nice and liquid - thought you'd be on the thread congratulating me after having a dig - in the interest of fairness - after all, you are the honest one aren't you lol! CR | cockneyrebel
17/7/2008 10:17 | The outlook statement was quite bullish compared with the cautious tones in previous trading updates. What's apparent with this company is that it can grow significantly without the need of much capital. Dividends won't be being made at the sacrifice of growth. Their shops are basically cardboard cut outs. | miamisteve
17/7/2008 08:23 | Dunno. But rationalisation can work either way I suppose... | edmundshaw
17/7/2008 07:47 | Anyone know if Somerfields was an AMU customer. Yesterday Somerfields was bought by the CO-Op who are an AMU customer which hopefully means one of their biggest customers has just doubled in size overnight. GT | goonertone
15/7/2008 15:35 | Added 4k today but not yet reported. Solid hold until they get taken over - cash rich now and trade growing well from existing and new customers. Impulse buys in the queus at Morrisons not affected by MORTGAGE, PROPERTY, CREDIT or other retail woes. Will be paying big divis soon as well. | philjeans
15/7/2008 13:33 | cheers aleman | goonertone
15/7/2008 12:11 | Yes - each 1% level above 10%. If they drop below 10% they will have to declare that but no subsequent lower moves. | aleman
15/7/2008 11:20 | 0.5p per day increase for the next couple of months would do me fine. Re this notifiable interest what happens now? Do they have to declare on each purchase sale or is it when they cross thresholds. are they 1% increments? Gt | goonertone
14/7/2008 20:13 | LoL! If you have me filtered how can you read my posts? Only reason I can think of for you unfilteing me is you can't find decent stocks of your own - there can be no other reason if you find me so detestable Obe sell of £500 worth in any of your panny shares and they tank - huge spreads - what's the point in this market? Hate Trader - the troll that hates trolls lolol. CR | cockneyrebel
14/7/2008 20:12 | "locked in" I'm thinking about going 100% in Amu and some friends are also thinking about increasing their stakes but might as well see if the mm's push it cheaper first. | 8trader
14/7/2008 20:06 | Ramp ramp ramp - Hate trader, the ramper that hates rampers lololololol. You're locked in to all you're hideously illiquid small caps Hate Trader - face it. And don't start crying in your usual way about me posting here - you happily troll everywhere else. How's your TND ? Oh, down today and you can't trade any worthwhile - think about it, how will anyone move that up whe they know if they buy a meaningful amount they are locked in? CR | cockneyrebel
14/7/2008 20:01 | I often wondered why there was a lack of institutions holding Amu and if they are "hiding" then no wonder ! Maybe they are trying to give the stock a nudge in the right direction like we try to on here without much success. That's one big % chunk to add onto the other major holders, makes around 63% now in safe hands, would only take one or two new larger investors to see the value and put a real squeeze on the stock and then Amu would finally get the re-rating it deserves or at least put it on a per of 5-8 which would still treble the shareprice. 14/7/2008 16:50 | Todays stage rocked my boat. :O) Evans in yellow by 1 second ! | liarspoker
14/7/2008 15:57 | I would suggest it says: "We have reached our target - now someone can come make us an offer, if they wish.". Would the investors that Peter Long represents (besides himself) have enough cash to take a larger stake? 8Trader - few people seem familiar with the 10% rule for passive funds. Most only recognise the 3% limit for active funds and investors. Most funds declare at 3% even though they may not need to in what is described as being "out of courteousy" but I think it is just so they have the option to vote should circumstances change. It is clearly a grey area which is why so few don't declare until 10% even if they consider themselves passive. I have seen 10% declarations crop up twice before but I can't remember where. I'm pretty sure one of the funds involved was a Deutche Bank one. | aleman
14/7/2008 15:37 | Well, having bought almost 10% of a business, and with no discernible interest in the shares from either private investors or other institutions, why not tell the wider market they've done it? You never know, it might just liven up the s/p. On the other hand............ | philjeans
14/7/2008 14:55 | curious. It would appear that they bought 10k just so that it would generate an RNS, otherwise why buy such a small amount. Most funds like to remain in the background if they can as it makes it easier for them to buy/sell without people wondering what they are doing, so for them to put their heads over the parapet like thus is an interesting decision. Almost as if they were putting a marker down. very curious.... | fft
14/7/2008 14:50 | 8, This and NLR - no brainers. DL | davidlloyd
14/7/2008 13:34 | That's news to me Aleman ! Well i think Amu is a rock now, i dont care what the overall markets do i just cant see how Amu can be dragged down again, if the mm's get this price back to 50p it will be pounced on by several regulars, this is simply the best value stock out there. I've seen one other that gets close but it's has a bit of debt so Amu still looks no1 for value. | 8trader
14/7/2008 13:24 | Passive funds don't have to declare until 10%. They are a small minority as most reserve the right to use their votes. You can assume from this they won't be agitating for any kind of buyout or strategic move but will be just sitting back, expecting the shares to rise on their own. | aleman
14/7/2008 13:16 | Never heard of them ? And they only bought 10k to make it 10%, dont recall them buying in the first place ? | 8trader |
