07/3/2012 10:39 | I traded out yesterday at 84.5p through Barclays Stockbrokers. £150 up and I think - this will visit 75p before we see the 130p, so I have set my pending order to buy at 75p Interesting that the ADVFN trades section showed my sell yesterday at 83p? Wonder what the accuracy of the trade data is on these really thin trades? | roddyb
03/3/2012 00:42 | 130 could easily happen in short term, or may take longer. Either way, unless you need the cash this is a safe bet to make a large gain ... | paul_butcher1999
02/3/2012 12:51 | Just a Bot testing the market probably. I can't see £1 soon - never mind 130.These could motor if a real world recovery happens , but that can be said for a lot of equities.I shall sink no more here. | wad collector
02/3/2012 12:19 | 36 trades by lunchtime, the AGA MM's won't know what hit them? Despite the positive publicity, there are loads more sells than buys. I heard of "Buy ye wisely" but someone today purchased 2 shares in a trade?? | roddyb
02/3/2012 10:32 | No real mention of pension valuation in article. Presume the print copies of Shares now resulting in some buys. Surely any good news on the pension deficit will trigger a share price rise? | beangrinder
02/3/2012 00:09 | American and UK economic recovery gathers pace ... | paul_butcher1999
01/3/2012 11:00 | Did they mention the triennial valuation of the pension? | smicker
01/3/2012 10:01 | tipped in Shares mag today. Growth at a reasonable price article. | beangrinder
28/2/2012 13:55 | Slipping to 76p - could be a long haul up to my 80p+10% profit sell order. As the cost of oil goes North and the recession (in Europe) goes on, I think 130p is going to be some way off. I put half my pension pot into cash today in readiness for a market correction between now and June. If it is a sour correction then Aga pension scheme isn't going to be in surplus. | roddyb

21/2/2012 17:36 | Roddyb, If they announced the pension scheme is now in surplus and they will not be making the scheduled payments and can release the 22m back to shareholders as a special div, i think its pretty certain we would see 130p | smicker
21/2/2012 17:07 | Those sort of movements in Aga could mean you're going to be hanging on to these shares a long time. I just like the discipline of +10% lock and sell as I don't think this is the sort of company that could surprise the market in a positive way to propoel it to 130p this year. | roddyb
25/1/2012 22:01 | this is not a rebound yet. start going north of 130 thats a rebound. I sell out around then then buy back in when it gets to this level, repeat, then repeat. Not sure what the market is up to on this one ... | paul_butcher1999
23/1/2012 09:27 | Out at 81p, though I may live to regret it. Everytime I get greedy this share bites me in the tail. No published reasons why we are rebounding, I guess the US wing of Marvel is enjoying better prospects and the banana republic pound means the UK produced gear can be exported very competitively? | roddyb
13/1/2012 10:42 | Of course we are tempted to assume that being a retail company that we are looking at the UK market. I wonder what the proportion of annual sales are derived from the U.S. with Marvel and how many international customers are taking advantage of a very cheap "livre anglais" and purchasing a Redfyre, Aga, Rangemaster, Cornue etc? If I was to think of a business that should be enjoying strong exports, then this would be one of my top five, albeit the smallest. (I got in at 70-71p after being disgusted that it fell to 60p) | roddyb
10/1/2012 09:58 | Pleasant surprise today. Its clear there are no buyers for consumer facing shares currently. One for the bottom drawer. | smicker
05/12/2011 23:24 | I would assume the big drop is linked to the triennial valuation which will be impacted by equity values as at 31st Dec. Given the volatility we've had lately plus no guarantee of what to expect + or - 500 points in the next few weeks its almost impossible to put a value on the company at the moment re cashflow over the next few years. Its no surprise the share price is at its weakest for years just now. ( and i havent even mentioned the R word ). | smicker
25/11/2011 12:01 | Put simply it is a reflection of the retail malaise, and internals such as their co. pension scheme, although at the last count it was £20m in surplus, spoke to the AGA store in Harrogate recently and assistant said their in-store targets met, that I accept should not be seen as a reflection of the whole country, etc. When you listen to their statement recently that they expect the cash balances to be near £35m. at year end, and the market cap. of parent £45m, it seems somewhat bizarre for the share price to be languishing so, however times are exceptionally tough in the retail sector and most quoted retailers are looking pretty sick at the current time. | bookbroker
23/11/2011 13:33 | Holy cow! I think my latest oil delivery for my Aga is worth more than the entire company - down to 60p? Whatever the news is someone must be leaking big time because 80p to 60p is one hell of a drop. I am so pleased I didn't jump on at 77p and now at 60p my money is staying in my wallet as I am confounded by the difference in share price vs. news release dated 11 Nov 11. | roddyb
22/11/2011 10:20 | Any views out there on todays trading, maybe the co. should make a statement about the downward pressures, we all know the trading environment is brutal, but these moves somewhat alarming. | bookbroker
17/11/2011 22:40 | Depressing it may be, and the chart does indeed stink, however one is talking about an iconic brand here, and despite the pension issues there is cash on the balance sheet and the core business is trading profitably. It's clear that one or two of the subsidiaries need careful management, I would like to believe that the management, as they stated in their recent statement, realise the gravity of the trading environment and are right on the ball as far as the potential headwinds that they are being confronted with. A case of toughing it out is the order, the whole retail sector is pretty much shot for now, but it's surprising that in the more affluent end of things folks seem pretty insulated, as far as I know the country set seem to be fairly benign about the pressures facing the majority of us, sentiment is the key with a stock such as this particularly as regards the housing sector. | bookbroker
17/11/2011 18:55 | That's a depressing looking chart.Unless you are a shorter. | wad collector
04/11/2011 18:53 | Just surmising, hopefully not as a holder, an IMS is due about now, so a better idea of current trading nonetheless I would expect them to re-iterate what was spoken in August although the retail climate is likely to present some headwinds even with these guys, although with their product I appreciate we are not talking about the Argos clientele. | bookbroker
04/11/2011 17:57 | bookbroker, are you referencing information from some other source? If so could you please post a link so i can follow the logic of your posts. where have you seen an indication of a profit warning? | smicker |
