06/7/2023 20:10 | would to compare us to prem....just money upfront for a set amount of lithium to be produced fine by me | martinfrench
06/7/2023 20:04 | If we look at the deal between Canmax and PREM last June, their lithium offtake was a profit share once production costs deducted. Seems like a reasonable thing. | 3ootuk
06/7/2023 11:41 | Indeed... Lol | sogoesit
06/7/2023 09:36 | Yes, when something seems to be neither one thing nor the other, the market often ends up concluding that it is the other. | arlington chetwynd talbott
06/7/2023 09:18 | oh well the traders have decided that the results were held up to let the seller get a better price. Danger of dealing with a non London based Company | theimpatientone
06/7/2023 08:48 | No great sell off on news. The real thing here is they have a large volume of pegmatites so can load the plant around the 1% level. Depends how much they want to split between tin and lithium. They might preconcentrate the lithium and throw the low bearing tin, keeping the main plant in the higher tin. | 3ootuk
06/7/2023 08:12 | It is certainly difficult for us as laymen to put results like these into context. There are usually some clues in the language used in the RNS, which in this case I would say is neither one thing nor the other. The market reaction seems consistent with that. | arlington chetwynd talbott
06/7/2023 07:52 | There is a very big buyer at work here. Stock moving from retail, flipping for small percentage gains, to institutional hands looking for, and having the patience to hold for, multi baggers..... gla Edit, C&P Twitter, Robin Mayes. | nicosevos
06/7/2023 07:38 | So as a layman could a geologist tell me are these results good or bad ? Were these results held up to help the big seller get out yesterday or are they good and a punishment to the seller for having got out ? Usually one of the two !!! | theimpatientone
06/7/2023 07:34 | "These results have also highlighted the tantalum potential of this area, and the relevance of the recently constructed tantalum recovery circuit. The proximity of the Spodumene Hill Project to the existing operations provides an immediate opportunity for additional revenues from the project area by blending tantalum grades." | weyweyumfozo
06/7/2023 07:25 | Interesting that the tantalum circuit is also close to completion. We haven't heard too much about that. | 3ootuk
06/7/2023 07:20 | Wooooooooooooooooow. High grade lithium intersections suggest the presence of significant spodumene mineralisation. We have also initiated a metallurgical programme to investigate the optimal beneficiation process for the recovery of both lithium and tantalum, whilst also producing tin as a by-product." LMEselect Tin 3 Month, USD/mt Latest: $28,050...+$417 (+1.51%) | nicosevos
06/7/2023 07:17 | Over 1.5‰ is good, under 1% isn't great Very mixed bag here, depends what it all averages out at as there hasn't been a top cut Cut off grade is quite often 0.4% Should average out to a decent overall grade. | 3ootuk
06/7/2023 07:11 | Spodumene Hill drill results are out in RNS | theimpatientone
05/7/2023 11:31 | i have 4 million kod, and now back in my good books, i think it will go ahead now, so no issues. am split between the 2, atm and kod, hold equal cash amounts, but will add some more kod when price settles Askari announced yesterday they had aquired 100% of EPL 7626, on strike with Uis, for not very much cash (i think they owned most of it before) | martinfrench
05/7/2023 11:31 | martinfrench should be aware that he knows nothing about me, or about my intentions. I was merely pointing out an article that is in lots of newspapers and says that Toyota have announced that they may have a half weight, solid state battery in just a couple of years. If that's true, then car manufactures world wide, won't hesitate to switch if it saves them money. Why would they? I still believe that ATM is hugely viable for lots of reasons other than Lithium but I made the choice to get out based on the article thinking that the price might drop even lower than it has done. Maybe I made a mistake? If so, that's fine. My loss. I don't know ANY investors that haven't made similar mistakes but I had no ulterior motive when posting. | stocksnerd
05/7/2023 11:14 | Yeah been watching KOD with interest. Been some ride over there! There are a couple of reasons I would not want to be on the sidelines here (ATM) at the moment. 1) results from spodumene hill. In any event where a good sized deposit is found, this could easily be worth more than the current market cap 2) Investment partner process. Complete wildcard. Could easily unlock enough cash to fully fund stage 2. | dunns_river_falls
05/7/2023 10:53 | i think he made his intentions very clear when posting an article and then hoping to get back in lower. you always get bthese articles, and cancer was supposed to be cured 30 years ago would be a hell of a lot of lithium miners and battery makers looking very stupid if that was the case. anyway, today its all kodal for me.....:-) | martinfrench
05/7/2023 10:12 | ATM are making about $500,000 a month net profit, on just the tin, at the moment. Nice earner, as they progress the lithium and tantalum lines....imo. gla | nicosevos
05/7/2023 10:11 | I don't think the massive demand for lithium is going away any time soon. Looks like there is plenty of room for different battery types It helps to be one of the lowest cost lithium producers in the world as ATM can cope with all price environments. And if all else fails, we still have a huge tin mine with huge growth plans. Multi metal producer has its benefits! | dunns_river_falls
05/7/2023 09:38 | because at a later stage they would have changed their mind ? de-ramping idiot, filtered | martinfrench
05/7/2023 09:34 | good for you | martinfrench
05/7/2023 09:29 | That may be the case but some big sells are going through this morning. I sold before posting the article with a view to maybe getting back in at a later stage. | stocksnerd
05/7/2023 09:13 | personally i doubt the miners have not done their homework for the competition (as well as tesla etc), and you always get these stories in papers, about cures for this and that, cars that run on water etc. i'm sure at some point there will be competing battery technologies out there but for now the roll out seems to be lithium. | martinfrench
05/7/2023 09:05 | This is surely a major threat to Lithium producers like ATM? Solid state car batteries that don't need lithium. Toyota says it has made a technological breakthrough that will allow it to halve the weight, size and cost of batteries, in what could herald a major advance for electric vehicles. The world’s second largest carmaker was already pursuing a plan to roll out cars with advanced solid-state batteries, which offer benefits compared with liquid-based batteries, by 2025.
