Simple typo seems the likely explanation, but "..A hotel, a gym & an ice rink" for £54m would seem way too much so am guessing the "1/3rd" is the typo.

The yield, index-linking and time to expiry all seem spot on.

An announcement at last:

But surely there's an error:

The combined value of the assets is £24m and represents over 30% of the net proceeds raised ...

30% of £180m is £54m. I've contacted Alex Short, the named person in the RNS.

The Charles Stanley buy of 4m shares was for discretionary clients.

My last post here.
Sold all my shares this morning at a very small loss.
Perhaps they are too busy with AEWU to attend to AEWL ?

Two RNS`s and still no acquisitions.

Charles Stanley have declared a 5% holding. They are one of my brokers, and I imagine this will be for their discretionary clients. I'll try to find out more tomorrow.

They may be having to readjust slightly due to lower amount raised; mind you, I'd also not expect them to RNS every acquisition, and is more likely they've loads in progress but nothing yet completed.

You might have a point - LXI REIT came to market on 27 Feb and made its first acquisition on 10 March. It's now almost fully invested (about £140m). This one is just three weeks old, so it's only a week behind. Their other REIT (AEWU) took four weeks to get started, then moved quite quickly.

When are they going to actually spend any of the money they raised.
I will be getting rid of these if no news is forthcoming this week.

Strewth - some serious over-valuations in the high-yielding REIT sector. That THRL: Yld 5.3%; but at a 16% PREMIUM!

Seems to have been a raft of REITs coming to market in recent weeks/months. Signal of nearing market top in commercial property?

Already jumped ship as I was really just stagging the issue. Took the view that remaining here was likely to be dead money for the forseeable future.

As many here will know, my favourite high-yield play in this sector remains PCA - at 380p the yield is 4.9% at a 14.2% Discount. They go EX the 9.5p final dividend on 6th July.

Very good Investor Presentation over on the PCA website:

LXI was under subscribed as was AEW Long Lease
I think SUET will be the same.

I reckon LXI REIT will be coming back to the market for more funds soon.
They seem to have no problem investing the cash raised, unlike AEWL.
Will be jumping this ship if no action by month end.

Agreed; only recently the supermarkets looked to be in trouble, & consumer spending on the slide with real wages again.

For anyone interested, a new REIT issue coming to market, the Supermarket Income REIT, £200m and 5.5% yield:

Will the ticker be SUET? Personally, I think the concentration into one sector is off-putting.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Incidentally, LXI REIT, launched in March, is almost fully invested already: four months.
On a NAV basis, better value than AEWU - but as @tyro says above, they need to get invested and get paying the dividend. Not ruling out a year before they get more interesting.
Apologies all I took the wrong ticker. No intention to mislead so I edited my post above. At least someone paid full 100p which puts them in good company with me. I think it will be a slow burner. Not raising as much as it had hoped is oviously depressing the price for now.
Mach, yes.
Prospectus p5:
Key to the success of the Company will be early deployment of cash through
careful investment selection. The Investment Manager has identified a
pipeline of opportunities generated by its network of connections across the
UK commercial property market. In the 12 months to 31 March 2017 the
Investment Manager received c.2,200 separate deal introductions via
Propex, the online data exchange for the institutional property market, with
a combined total value of c.£19.14 billion.
EDIT, Old Mutual have 15,000,000 (18.3%).
This is AEWL board.
Nobody has paid over 100.00 today.
Hoping AEWL will soon announce an acquisition as they have no revenue coming in at the moment.
I assume the Board will have been shovel ready and making soundings for months so will have specific targets in mind and anxious to get investment underway. When we see some announcements then the share price should get a boost.
Edited as took the wrong ticker
Not forgetting that their maximum lot size is what they previously thought their average lot size would be :)
