26/5/2007 11:11 | Hi Scotty1 Can you help me with this please.I bought 40,000 shares in AAIR in September 2006.I believe shareholders were allocated 1 AVAP share for every 10 AAIR shares.I bought mine through Interactive Investor Account and are held in their nominee account. Was I entitled to these shares? If so how can I find out that I own these shares? Also were they allocated in a certificated form.I would appreciate your comments on this. | safeera

17/5/2007 08:15 | Advent Air's Skywest eyeing new services, 9-mth profit up 475 pct LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Australian airline group Advent Air Ltd said its Skywest subsidiary is considering launching services to four destinations as it announced a 475 pct rise in nine-monthly profits at Skywest and said current trading is in line with hopes. Skywest is looking at introducing services to Karratha and Port Hedland from Perth and between Kalgoorlie-Melbourne and Broome-Singapore, AIM-listed Advent said in a trading update. Port Hedland is earmarked to start in July. It also plans to add capacity on existing services to six destinations including Geraldton, Exmouth, Newman, Kalgoorlie, Albany and Darwin. Advent said unaudited net profits at Skywest in the nine months to March had increased 475 pct against the same period last year on a 33 pct increase in total revenues. Scheduled charter revenue increased 62 pct, the average fare lifted by 15 pct and passenger numbers were 8.7 pct up. Website sales of airline tickets have increased by 46 pct on the prior year as at May 2007 and online website sales of tickets now comprise 32 pct of all ticket sales. Advent said Skywest, which runs charter services for mining companies as well as scheduled flights, hopes to benefit from planned or existing major resource projects in western Australia worth more than 80 bln aud. However, citing potential challenges and risks, the group said congestion at Perth domestic airport has reduced Skywest's punctuality and the availability of extra aircraft and trained crews may limit its growth. It said it is looking to buy one or two extra F-50 turbo-prop aircraft and plans to lease a further three 100-seat jets by March 2008, subject to availability. Advent said it will probably propose a final dividend for this year, which is likely to be proportionally higher than the previous year's dividends due to increased half-year profits. "Current trading continues within expectations," it said. | knowing

24/4/2007 19:51 | GE&CR write up, released as a freebie today Advent Air, through its wholly owned subsidiary Skywest Airlines, has achieved impressive growth in revenues as a result of pre-sales to mining companies and its exclusive right to operate in a number of monopoly routes in Western Australia. The growth story remains strong as the company's recent number of long term charter contracts demonstrate. The company's most recent contracts wins include a two year contract with BHP Billiton to operate a weekly scheduled air charter flight to Western Australia, worth A$2 million, extending up to 29th January 2009. This contract has a further 2 year extension option and provides Skywest protection over rise and fall in fuel prices. The company is contracted to provide a weekly air transport for employees of the BHP iron mine at Newman, to and from Perth in Western Australia. The second contract with Portman Iron Ore ltd (PIO) provides 5 trips a week and is worth A$2 million per year over an initial 15 month term up to three years. Over the last two months, Advent also signed an extension to an existing charter agreement with Argyle Diamonds Ltd (Argyle), subsidiary of Rio Tinto Plc, and added further flights contributing an additional AUD$5 million in annual revenues to Skywest. The Argyle contract has been extended until October 2008 and Skywest will provide Argyle with another four commuter flights a week. On 17th April, Advent signed a second contract with Rio Tinto agreeing to provide its services to its subsidiary Pilbara Iron over a two year period, up to 29th March 2009. The charter contracts provide Skywest guaranteed revenue over a number of years, enabling the company to continue expanding its operations and pursuing growth opportunities, through the acquisition of aircrafts and pursuing flight opportunities. In March, Advent published its results for the six months to 31st December 2006. The group recorded a 245% jump in pre-tax profits to S$ 4.42 million and a fifteen fold increase in earning per share to 1.79 Singapore cents. The group increased its interim dividend to 0.3 cents per share. Operating statistics for March 2006 saw a sharp improvement on the previous year. Revenue Passenger kilometres increased by 10.49% while capacity increased by 10.93% - the number of aircraft in the fleet rose by 1 to 8. The group had period end cash of 2.68 million pounds less than 12 months previously due to the acquisition of its 6th Fokker 50 Aircraft. In the second half, the net cash position will rebuild on the back of strong operating cashflows. Advent has a history of strong earnings growth and a sound balance sheet. We do not see the business model changing dramatically in the near future. Our 21p target price ( a June 2007 price earnings ratio of 12) remains a conservative initial objective. Our stance remains buy. | spangle93
17/4/2007 07:43 | New contract announced today. Maybe a 1/4p rise will result? Skywest Airlines Pty Ltd ("Skywest"), is pleased to announce that Skywest has agreed with Rio Tinto through its subsidiary Pilbara Iron to operate a scheduled air charter service for the Brockman and Marandoo mines in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.... | spangle93
29/3/2007 19:59 | Don't you mean AVATION?? AAIR are going ex divi on 11/04/07 this will be my second dividend, isn't it nice to get a dividend from an aim share. Date: Friday 16 Mar 2007 LONDON (ShareCast) - Shares in airline operator Advent Air rose after the group revealed a massive 245% surge in first-half pre-tax profit as passenger numbers grew. The Singapore based airline operator, listed on London's AIM, said pre-tax profit rose to S$4.4m in the six months to 31 December while sales rose 18% to S$58.7m. The results are reported in Singapore Dollars or S$. The group added it is well positioned for future growth with a string of long-term charter contracts. "The directors are confident that the company will continue to show good progress for the year as a whole," Advent said in a company statement. I thought the share price would have gone up a bit more after these outstanding results. | m4lcolm
