This isn't trading at a new high. It has been 5p in the past, but as I said in one of my earlier posts, there has been a long period of inactivity. The share is very tightly held and will rise rapidly due to lack of avialable stock, but on the downside it will fall back sharply during lull periods and its highly illiquid nature makes it difficult to dispose of should you need the cash suddenly.

145,000 sell without any impact on the price. Nice.

Greatly encouraged by developments after a long period of lifelessness. Let's hope the concept takes off. Just the one concern and that is finance. How is it all going to be paid for and does anyone have any ideas on timescale for the complete rollout.

BOOTS' TRAINERS
GYM TO OPEN IN 60 STORES
12/06/2007

BOOTS is hoping to give customers the fitness bug by opening mini-gyms with personal trainers in its stores.

The chemist chain has signed a deal with ADDleisure to launch its Movers & Shapers fitness programme in up to 60 branches nationwide.

It combines "sweat-free" 30-minute work-outs with advice on how to lead a healthier life.

ADDleisure finance director Ben Margolis says: "We're not asking people to go to a gym and sweat for an hour on a treadmill. This is about getting people to make small changes to their lives such as walking up stairs, not taking the lift."

The move is a U-turn for Boots, which abandoned previous attempts to cash in on its healthy image by offering services such as chiropody and dentistry.

Customers will pay around £195 for 12 supervised Power-Plate sessions. This hitech equipment uses vibration to stimulate muscles and circulation. They will be set targets to improve fitness, have their weight and blood pressure measured and get advice on diet.

"The government target is for people to walk 10,000 steps a day," said Margolis, "but most of us only manage 3,000. When people are set achieveable goals they make an effort."

A Boots spokesman said the firm believed Movers & Shapers would appeal to customers of all ages.

Little bits and pieces of press .....

Forbes.com -

ADDleisure took top spot among risers, hardening 0.50, or 28.6 pct, to 2.25 pence following news that the AIM-traded company, formed to develop products and services in the health and leisure sectors, has reached an agreement with Alliance Boots to install the company's proprietary Movers & Shapers retail fitness and well-being concept in Alliance Boots stores.

Of course, what would also be useful is a little volume ....
Today's volume is "high" in comparison to a normal day, but still essentially nothing. Let's see whether we get any direct or indirect coverage in the papers tomorrow.

I also like the 5p a share option, available for 12 months - this is getting to be a key target.

Remember Michael Warshaw when he sold In Moments - he got new shares at an issue price of 5p, plus options on a few million more at 5p. Ben Margolis, the FD, has options on 2 million at 5p plus a few more at 4p.

Very interesting. Very, very interesting !!

Going back to what we know (eg from the 2006 Annual report) they were looking at creating centres of "approximately 600 - 1,000 square feet", and they would be "on the high street or within existing retail stores".

How many stores will be able to accomodate that sort of space requirement ?

BUT it does look as if the Movers & Shapers concept is starting to move.

Alliance Boots is making the headlines today - doctor's surgeries instore, and now Movers & Shapers.
