18/3/2009 10:36 | Easy to spot, turns up on same threads, same style and spams the bb trying to ramp same stocks ! He was actually filtered for over a year until he turned up here so i unfiltered to have a look. | 8trader
18/3/2009 10:27 | Oh ok, so this chap's got history too? How can you tell it's the same person, different username? | bozzy_s
18/3/2009 09:44 | And I object to being called a P & D 'er! | battyman2
18/3/2009 09:36 | I object to being called a 'bozo' Battyman. I am simply putting a balanced and honest viewpoint across. Something which cannot be said about yourself. Rampety ramp. P.S I am positive on more stocks than I am negative. | bozzy_s
18/3/2009 09:35 | Battyman ! I remember you as the proffessor ! But when it comes to shares you act like a dunce and not a prof ! Can you not read even the basics of a balance sheet ? | 8trader
18/3/2009 09:34 | No problem with trying to put across a balanced point. I'd answer as follows: > It does have cash of 24.4m, but borrowings of 87.5m, so it has net cash of -63.1 million pounds > Trade receivables + inventories do cover trade payables > Net settlement plus a profit on disposal totalling approx 5m pounds brings net cash up to -£58m Then adjust this figure either way depending on the trading performance for the year. Company therefore depends on the support of it's lenders. If they trade at a loss and are unable to meet repayment terms, they're finished. No chance of a share placing to pay off debt with market cap. £0.7m !! I'd suggest that the best case scenario is a debt-for-equity swap if the company can pursuade it's lenders it is a going concern. Current shareholders get zero. Worst case scenario is they go bust. | bozzy_s
18/3/2009 09:34 | Low market cap - only a few million shares in circulation - company with a huge turnover!! equals ========= | battyman2
18/3/2009 09:33 | Absolutely - don't listen to the Bozos who post negative comments on this thread | battyman2
17/3/2009 15:42 | Quoting a ficticious price target several hundreds of % above current value is also a common trick | bozzy_s
17/3/2009 15:40 | ACER is a recent victim of P&D as described below secretsqu. Hope you didn't buy purely on the basis of made-up rumours. Best of luck. "Pump and dump" is a form of microcap stock fraud that involves artificially inflating the price of an owned stock through false and misleading positive statements, in order to sell the cheaply purchased stock at a higher price. Once the operators of the scheme "dump" their overvalued shares, the price falls and investors lose their money. Stocks that are the subject of pump-and-dump schemes are sometimes called "chop stocks."[1][2] While fraudsters in the past relied on cold calls, the Internet now offers a cheaper and easier way of reaching large numbers of potential investors. | bozzy_s
16/3/2009 14:26 | Secretsqu - don't despair! Very few shares available - MM's know it but will try and keep the price down before jacking it up (when news breaks) so quickly that none of these poor Bozos will be able to get in even at your level! 8p is the target and I think it will be surpassed | battyman2
15/3/2009 08:38 | Thought so, thanks for the advice guys. I am trying to gauge the value of holding these shares as mentioned previously. There seems to be a lack of real news out there or potential news that could merit a chance of the share price moving north, apart from talking to their bank about additional funding prior to October and the order for Landrovers and Jags for China. Any views or news that I have missed, as I have looked in an awful lot of places. Cheers secretsqu | secretsqu
14/3/2009 17:40 | This appears to be a very lonely thread. I bought in a couple of weeks ago at 3.8p, even given the dire state of the motor manufacturing industry. I have been scouring the boards for more info from like minded people, some could say fools, to no avail. (absolutely no offence meant) I use Moneyaam for live share prices and have come across a chap/ette called Devlin who appears to be posting on his/her own and to him/her/self. He/she has made some claims which have not come to fruition since posted. I have posted a link below as I don't not want to consider this person an outright ramper unless someone can prove otherwise. This is not a witch hunt but rather a person currently considering whether to hold or consolidate losses. Any views welcome. ADVFN competitor.com/quote | secretsqu

11/3/2009 10:24 | Perhaps for posting information which is extremely price sensitive?? | battyman2 |
