09/10/2023 14:02 | HP, tbf it's not a perception of 'made up', perhaps some opaqueness as many of the holdings are not subject to daily pricing?. | essentialinvestor
09/10/2023 13:37 | As long as they are not under any pressure to liquidate the assets I guess whatever nav is ,it is not significant as I suspect they are not under pressure to liquidate . However if the stock market suddenly takes a dive this is more vulnerable because of perceptions. | atlantic57
09/10/2023 13:17 | But nearly all the infrastructure trusts and renewable trusts are 100% private markets investments. Adig is only 50%. I'm more confident in adig's nav than those and the reits. I've no idea where the perception adig's nav is "made up" has come from. | hugepants
09/10/2023 13:12 | Huge Pants the main issue here for me is what is the true net asset value. I suspect if the market generally tanks these will fall like a stone. | atlantic57
09/10/2023 12:45 | But surely risk-adjusted is attractive? You can get 9%-10% just now on some trusts but these typically have 35-40% gearing and single asset type. And they don't have a value outing announcement possibly imminent. | hugepants
09/10/2023 11:56 | 78/79. ADIG trading as if no review was ever instigated. | spectoacc
06/10/2023 13:01 | You have to just marvel at the value destruction here, it really is something to behold. Added back what I sold over 84 pence. | essentialinvestor
06/10/2023 12:53 | Online buy price is currently 0.2p less than the sell price. Discount is 27.5% and yield now over 7%. Not bad for a trust with net cash and exploring options for increasing shareholder value. | hugepants
04/10/2023 09:08 | Form a committee to determine what brand of matches it was. | spectoacc
03/10/2023 13:36 | You would hate to see this lot if a fire broke out in a room. | essentialinvestor
02/10/2023 12:00 | This was July's RNS, yet now it's October. Expected something much sooner, bearing in mind only a month between the review starting, and this: "Update on Strategic Review The Board of abrdn Diversified Income and Growth plc ("ADIG" or the "Company") is pleased to provide shareholders with an update in respect of the strategic review process announced on 20 June 2023. Following the announcement of the strategic review, the Company has received a number of credible, attractive and varied proposals for actions that we believe should enhance shareholder value. The Board, and its advisers, are actively exploring how these various proposals could best deliver value for ADIG shareholders and are engaged in productive discussions with a selected shortlist of parties. The Company will provide an update in due course, noting that at this stage there can be no certainty as to the outcome of the review. The ADIG Board has also taken the decision, in the light of the ongoing review process, to suspend the Company's investment-led share buyback policy. Subject to the outcome of the strategic review, the Board will consider resuming share buybacks in due course. " | spectoacc
18/9/2023 12:07 | You can see at 84.3 atm, there might be some news this week, but would not want to bet on that one. | essentialinvestor
17/9/2023 10:03 | Patience needed on the strategic review. More likely to be October than September, in my view. | topvest
14/9/2023 08:02 | Yesterday’s dividend announcement means that the Board met to approve the payment. Hopefully they are in day two of wading through the high quality strategic review proposals and will announce how we get our money back later today. (Not holding my breath though) | hohum1
08/9/2023 16:19 | Big win for Burford Capital in the Petersen trial judgement. ADIG to benefit via its holding in BOF… | hohum1
08/9/2023 15:15 | Bought a small amount today on the bases that news is due and it may be favourably received. 4-5% will do me. The problem with the above is just when you think news at ADIG will never get any better, it suddenly gets worse!. | essentialinvestor
08/9/2023 08:14 | The bigger picture is that VC are spotting value that the market isn't. I'm not expecting a major re-rating of alternative assets, but it may mark the bottom in ratings | tiltonboy
08/9/2023 08:10 | I see Roundhill Music have been taken out at a 67% premium. ADIG had a few of these. Only adds about 0.25p to NAV but maybe there are other parts of the portfolio similarly undervalued. | hugepants
07/9/2023 07:52 | Thanks hohum1, just looked back to 15/9/22 and found it! | sll
06/9/2023 10:56 | The dividend announcement is usually mid September. You'd think that they will give the results of the strategic review at the same time. | hohum1
06/9/2023 09:40 | Wouldn't that div have been announced by now? Can't trace anything. | sll
30/8/2023 12:15 | but in the meantime just collect the chunky quarterly dividend. There should be another one announced in 2-3 weeks. | hugepants
30/8/2023 12:06 | Could be months away if ASCI is anything to go by | tiltonboy
30/8/2023 10:51 | It would be jolly nice to hear an update and a way forward following the above announcement from 25/7/23. We are waiting and have been waiting very patiently. Time to deliver me thinks. | neilyb675 |
