Finished well, all level on a very red day for the FTSE is good.

Timing of this oil price fall could be perfect.......oil price weak into 1st week of Feb......then the scare over flu goes, oil price rebounds upwards right into the spud of Charlie-1 for 88E.

Oil stocks fall as coronavirus hammers oil prices

Oil prices slipped in response to coronavirus fears today, knocking oil and airline stocks

Shares in oil and mining firms slipped this morning as oil prices continued to tumble, with fears over the coronavirus driving down demand for fuel.

Brent crude fell over 3.5 per cent to hit $57.78, its lowest levels since October, after sixth straight sessions of decline. West Texas Intermediate fell 3.5 per cent to $52.30.

China is the world’s largest importer of oil, so a slowdown in demand has the potential to derail prices.

All please read this post in the spirit of collaboration intended. For any 88e shareholders who are looking to learn more about the Alaska North Shore. Pantheon Resources are holding an investor presentation in London on Thursday morning which is open to all. The main presenter will be Bob Rosenthal of PANR who is the founder of Great Bear Petroleum. Along with Lord Browne, the two founders of Riverstone (the world's largest O&G private equity fund) and Farallon, he led Great Bear up until their merger with PANR about a year ago. 88E shareholders will know that PANR owns the acreage immediately to the north of theirs. PANR completed a successful flow test on their Alkaid well in April '19 and are currently in the process of looking for a farm in partner. Shareholders from all three companies will all be anxiously awaiting news on the upcoming Charlie-1 well and there will likely be information from that well which will be a useful readacross for PANR....and vice versa. There relative proximity may make shared infrastructure a possibility in the future, who knows? Bob Rosenthal is an acknowledged expert on the ANS and PANR's CEO used to run the day to day operations of Prudhoe Bay for Anadarko earlier in his career. Might be constructive to come along to have a listen to what they have to say? Please find details below from recent Resource Update RNS: Presentation and Q&A session which will be open to all investors from 9.30am - 11.00am GMT on Thursday, 30th January, 2020 at the offices of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP), Adelaide House, London Bridge, London, EC4R 9HA. The Company presentation will be made by Bob Rosenthal, Technical Director & Chief Geologist, Jay Cheatham, CEO, and Justin Hondris, Director, Finance and Corporate Development. The presentation will cover, amongst other topics, the results of the independent experts report and Contingent Resource statement announced today; an overview of the important strategic acreage acquisitions (hereafter referred to as the 'Theta West' and 'Leonis' projects) announced in December 2019; the continued progress at Talitha; and a discussion of the high level strategic overview of the Company's Alaskan projects presently underway. Happy to discuss further on the PANR board if preferred.

Blue day.......onwards now.

Should be news next week on the final permit and ice road. Expect the PR now to step up a gear.......and with no hold back now expect it to soon get through 1.5p levels and upwards.

Now the placing is out of the way this is probably the last chance to get in at these prices. Think Dave was right to raise now as it saves all the derampers spouting about a raise as the share price lifts nearer / during the drill. Onwards and upwards!

Given two days notice, presumably those that want out would have left. Therefore minimal downside? And as pro mentions, we're lower than asx price.. I call flat to start.. wide spread and finish slightly up...... my tea leaves confirm this.

To quote your previous post ...."If its unsolicited then it should be a good price, like 0.24 AUD (1.25p)Lowest should be 0.23 AUD in my opinion, which would be 1.2p"

Placing was expected at around 16% discount to 1.4p - 1.15 to 1.2so 1.1p was lower than possibly anticipated
