NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ad:tech New York 2016, the original industry authority for advertising, marketing and media technology, today announced its debut collaboration with musical.ly, the world’s fastest growing video social network, who will feature prominently at the November show at Javits Center in New York City.

From the last results:

The first half of the year has seen the Company's client base continue to shift to major, tier one corporates, increasing the scale of our customers and continuing to improve the quality and predictability of our business and revenues. The Company signed a contract with Cdiscount, the leading e-commerce retailer in France, which will see the launch of a new streamed music service next week. Cdiscount generated profits last year of EUR1.765bn on a turnover of EUR2.741bn and enjoys a 34.4% total share of e-commerce in France (source: GfK).

We also signed an agreement with musical.ly, the fast-growing global social media platform based around video and music with a strong and growing global footprint of over 100m users and we expect monthly revenues from this agreement to increase over time. This agreement and our partnership with will.i.am, who launched his Dial wearable "smartcuff" device during the period, are examples of how we can leverage our capabilities to enable and participate in disruptive new business models and product categories.

In line with a strategic emphasis on further developing commercial relationships with rights holders, 7digital has reached new agreements with two of the world's major music labels. In addition to continuing to license and provide access to their catalogues for its customers, 7digital will also now provide new services to the labels, which will contribute to the Company's revenues for 2016. One contract, negotiated by the new business development team in Paris, will see 7digital power a new mobile music service in 4 markets. 7digital will provide a package of services and infrastructure that includes access to the catalogue, front-end and back-end development, reporting, and tools for curation. A second contract, secured by the London business development team, will see 7digital build a new tool for the label relating to streaming.

More bad debt risks for 7DIG ?

part of Guvera went bust & failed to pay its debts.....other parts of Guvera could go the same way ?...other start ups that 7DIG works with phps to go the same way ?

Streaming

Repeat of old post

imho the winners in music streaming will imo be the big fish (Apple et al, Vodafone) and those working with the big fish (Spotify) & for streaming, companies like Vodafone have a big advantage since they can say/offer that ONLY their music streaming service gets free data use; a major selling advantage imo.

And ADSL providers have the advantage that they OWN/manage the link/contract with the customer and can offer deals and advertise to their ADSL clients for free.

Can anyone name any big fish that 7DIG provides the streaming for ?!!

Not Vodafone, not Apple, not Google, not Amazon, not T mobile

MQA...who cares..

A digital file is a set of 1's and 0's. And you have a file owner (the band or whoever they sold the file to such as Warner or Sony) and file users ( listeners).
You can add jargon to the subject but it doesnt change the basic story.

(File owners want to get income from the files they own...via downloads, CDs, streaming etc etc
So of course they will never give an exclusive to just 1 seller or 1 technology if exclusive. So, MQA, non-news imho. (If its a winner then micro mini cap 7DIG would not be given exclusive rights from big fish like Warner or Sony)

(MQA. MPEG3. VHS. User doesnt care much imho....just wants to use the popular system & have immediate functionality but what it's called, the user doesnt care imho)

just wanted to add some balance pet its a hard one to call as to whether MQA will be a hit or not. All I'm hoping for here is smidgen of profit in this final quarter followed by a swift takeover at 20p.

Wh1spa:

You have found an article written by someone who does not rate MQA.We all have our own views which is a good thing. MQA has been taken up by Warner Music and the other two big boys are working on it but have not yet signed terms and conditions.

I'm hoping for news on the MQA front from CES in early Jan, there is a high res audio event planned, with music labels and MQA present...

Guvera going bust not only cost the company £700,000 it also hit the MRR. That revenue has quickly been replaced. Musical.ly is one contract that may help and I am also very excited about the prospects for MQA in 2017. If the 3 big record labels are up and running by the spring then 7Dig should have heaps of opportunities for hardware streaming contracts around the world.

MMR : Monthly recurring revenue.

OCHS:

No, it's the value of the streaming revenues of £3.4M that caught my eye. If that rate of growth can be maintained over a few years the shares should do extremely well.

Half year results.
Licensing revenue, which forms the core of the business, has remained broadly flat at GBP3.0m (2015: GBP3.1m). MRR was up by 3%; this low increase reflects the inclusion last year of revenues from a large contract not present in 2016. New contracts have more than replaced these revenues going forward and, given their timing, will benefit the Group in full in the second half and beyond. The total annualised MRR rate in June 2016 was GBP5.4m, an increase of 10% from June 2015 (GBP4.9m).

As of 30/06/16 MRR annualised is running at £5.4M. My hope is that this amount will now rise at a rapid rate starting in the second half that is now just about ended (December 31) I believe it's this revenue that the directors can predict with some certainty that will help to produce profits next year. It also comes with high margins.

What is MRR? or is that your question?

Full year 2015 results.

- Annualised streaming MRR for December 2015 grew threefold to GBP3.4m (December 2014: GBP0.8m)

Can anyone throw some light on this please.

Smithie6.

I do think 7dig has a real chance to return a profit in 2017. Its recurring revenues are what I am going for. Your clearly doing extremely well with your other investments so why on earth do you get your knickers in a twist about a stock you sold over two years ago.? As I said I just don't understand it at all.

Best we move on me with my ramblings and you with your criticism, it all makes the world go round.😜

I could not understand quite why your posts are so full of venom towards Simon Cole and 7Dig. You told us new investors last week to look up the history of UCB,where Simon came from and you were an investor. I had time to do just that this morning.

"UBC Media" - (UBC) BB

Going back a few years to your first 100 posts you RAMP the shares on every possible occasion after buying. You then get upset when one company that UCB buys is later sold for less than half price.Next comes the RTO in which UBC shareholders come out rather poorly. Now you change your tune, with years of attacks as in your view you were *DONE OVER*

If you had not RAMPED the hell out of UCB I might of had some sympathy for you. 😱

I DON'T

Smithie6:

Your way of thinking is pure logic. They have constantly failed over the years to produce profits.i can't argue with that nor can anyone else. That is why you have a strong case.If 2017 produces another loss as you predict my investment @6P is going to cost me dear. Assuming 2017 is the year profits arrive then the companies stock price should rise and rise by a large amount. An extra £2M of revenue at 90% margin could produce £1.5M of clear profit after fixed overheads. No one including the broker is predicting anything like that today but it's not out of the question. 🎢

Interim turnover 5.2M

Vs 5.1 M in 2015.

While still loss making. And still reducing costs.

& little cash left

...& MD said "dissapointing"

(Any MD that is likely to need to raise cash to stay in business...in part he has a moral duty to staff to portray a +ve image.....you will see it at all cos. in similar positn.....a shareholder should filter...)
