PARIS--Vivendi (VIV.FR) said Wednesday it has closed the sale of its remaining 20% stake in French telecommunications operator Numericable-SFR (NUM.FR).
Vivendi said it today received a first payment from Numericable-SFR and its parent Altice SA (ATC.AE) of 1.8 billion euros ($2.04 billion) for the stake.
Altice will make a second payment of EUR1.9 billion by April 7, 2016, bearing an interest of 3.8% per year.
Altice said it now holds around 70.4% of Numericable-SFR.
