UPDATE: Vivendi Board Proposes Five Members

PARIS--The supervisory board of French media and telecommunications group Vivendi SA (VIV.FR) will propose that shareholders approve the appointment of five members to the board, including industrialist Vincent Bollore and Air France-KLM (AF.FR) Chief Executive Alexandre de Juniac.

The company's supervisory board will also propose Nathalie Bricault as the employee shareholders' representative, Pascal Cagni, a former executive at Apple (AAPL), and Yseult Costes, the chairman and CEO of interactive marketing company 1000mercis. The company will hold its annual general shareholders meeting on April 30.

Mr. Bollore--whose eponymous family investment firm has accumulated more than 1 billion euros ($1.3 billion) of shares in Vivendi--and Mr. Cagni were already appointed to the board in December. Mr. Cagni is currently a non-voting board member and will become a full member with voting rights if his appointment is approved by the company's shareholders.

The company said Christophe de Margerie, oil company Total's (TOT) CEO, and Maureen Chiquet decided not to renew for another term as board members.
