Norwegian telecommunciations company Telenor ASA (TEL.OS) said Tuesday that it has adjusted its previously announced 2013 results to account for its 4.45 billion Norwegian kroner ($746.5 million) share of impairments booked by Russian company VimpelCom Ltd. (VIP), in which it owns a 33% stake.
Telenor's total share of the impairment losses was NOK5.54 billion, which related to Kyivstar in Ukraine and Wind Mobile in Canada, but that total was partially offset by a NOK1.09 billion gain from Telenor's transfer of Kyivstar shares to VimpelCom Ltd.
At 0842 GMT Telenor shares traded 0.8% higher at NOK128.40.
