From May 2019 to May 2024
Siemens AG (SI) has received an order for a total of 32 locomotives from five U.S. states, which will be manufactured at the German industrial conglomerate's Sacramento, California site.
The contract, worth around 165 million euros ($229.5 million), includes a purchase option for another 75 locomotives for regional transportation and another 150 for mainline transportation, or 225 additionally.
The 32 locomotives will be delivered between late 2016 and mid-2017.
