SGS S.A. (SGSN.VX) said Monday it has acquired the Ware Care Group in Beuningen, the Netherlands, for an undisclosed sum, to extend the company's offering in the country and consolidate its leadership in Benelux.
MAIN FACTS:
-Ware Care is a leading provider of Integrated Pest Management services and fumigation services, including hygiene inspection, risk assessment, monitoring and pest management programs. It operates mainly along the food supply chain and counts on a very broad client base.
-Founded in 1992 and privately owned, Ware Care employs 29 specialists and is expected to generate 2012 revenues in excess of EUR3.2 million.
-"I am pleased with this acquisition as it extends our Agricultural Services' offering in the Netherlands and will consolidate our leadership in the Benelux," said Chris Kirk, CEO of SGS.
