The head of Telecom Italia SpA (TIT.MI) said Friday he was open to having a partner help develop La7, the television channel run by Telecom Italia Media SpA (TIM.MI), a division of the telecommunications operator.
"TV is not an integral part of our core business. This doesn't mean that we plan to get rid of T. I. Media," Franco Bernabe told a news conference.
"I didn't say talks were underway. I said that it would be good to have a partnership," he added.
Telecom Italia had previously looked at selling Telecom Italia Media because of its poor performance.
