Newton said, "The closing is a result of several factors, but the bottom line is that our bottom line was not in the black." Newton said, "This does not mean we will not reopen in New York and/or other locales in the future. Our parent company continues to own all retail and wholesale licensing and franchise rights to the brand, plus a track record going back over three decades in which we can take great pride."
