Presstek Appoints G. Michael McCarthy Vice President, Business

HUDSON, N.H., July 28  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Presstek Inc. (NASDAQ: PRST),
a leading manufacturer and marketer of environmentally responsible high tech
digital imaging solutions for the graphic arts and laser imaging markets, today
announced that it has appointed G. Michael McCarthy to the position of Vice
President, Business Integration. McCarthy has been working as an advisor to the
company on the proposed A.B.Dick acquisition.

Presstek's President and Chief Executive Officer Edward J. Marino said, "As we

Michael's caliber to lead these strategic projects. Michael has demonstrated

Prior to joining Presstek, McCarthy was employed at Corporate Software Inc. of
Norwood, Massachusetts, a $1.2 billion software distribution and asset
management company where he served as General Manager/Chief Operating Officer
for the $850 million North America and Asia Pacific Region, and Senior Vice
President, Operations and Information Technology. After the sale of Corporate
Software to Level 3 Communications, McCarthy spent a year with Level 3 working
on the transition and integration of the new company. McCarthy also held
various management positions at Digital Equipment Corporation of Marlborough,
Massachusetts. He holds a Masters and a Bachelor degree from the University of
California.
