German sportscar maker Porsche AG said Wednesday global sales rose 19% on the year in June to 12,699 vehicles, fueled by the new generation of its 911 model, and added that it expects to post double-digit sales growth for the full year despite the economic uncertainties in Europe.

"Porsche successfully continued on its growth path in the first half of the year," sales chief Bernhard Maier said in a statement.

"With regard to the European economy in particular, we will continue to monitor developments closely and respond quickly if necessary," he said.

MAIN FACTS:

- Porsche reported gains in all major sales regions in the first six months as global sales rose 14% year-on-year to 69,171 cars.

- With 26,024 deliveries, Europe posted an increase of 20% compared to the January-to-June period 2011.

- Germany accounted for 9,536 vehicle sales, up 21% on the year.

- In Asia Pacific, the number of units sold increased 17% to 23,948 cars.

- China accounted for 15,274 car sales, up 25% on the year.

- Porsche sold 14,338 cars of the revamped 911 model, up 28% from last year.

- Sales of the Panamera four-door coupe were up 25% at 15,601 cars.

- The Cayenne sports-utility-vehicle remained the brand's bestselling model with 34,727 vehicles sold, up 16% compared to the first six months of last year.

- The brand owners, parent firm Porsche Automobil Holding SE (PAH3.XE) and Volkswagen AG (VOW.XE), last week agreed to fully integrate Porsche's sportscar unit into VW's stable of brands as of August 1.
