Trading Symbol: TSX-MTB Frankfurt-M9U.F OTC-MBYMF STEWART, BC, Sept. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mountain Boy Minerals Ltd announces that assays for the first hole on the BA claims have been received for the 2007 drilling exploration program and it has intersected high zinc-lead-silver values. The BA claims are located 30 km east of Stewart in the Skeena mining division. Drilling is being conducted in a grid pattern measuring 15 by 15 meters in order to provide data for a resource calculation at the end of the 2007 drill program. Based on the positive results from this early drilling, a second drill has been mobilized to the project. The mineralized zone is located in the upper parts of Bear Glacier within the same stratigraphic horizon as that which hosts the Eskay Creek deposit. The company believes that the zone represents a portion of a Kuroko-type volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) system composed of an exhalite horizon with related zinc-lead-silver mineralization. Mineralization occurs below the main exhalite horizon and is located within mudstones, mudstone breccias and dacite breccias. Mineralized rocks are at least 40 meters to 50 meters wide and mineralization can be traced for over 1 kilometer of strike length and is open along strike and to depth. Prospecting has also located a zone of massive bedded sphalerite over 3 meters wide approximately 200 meters north of the present drilling. Further prospecting, sampling and geological mapping will be conducted in this new discovery area. Assays received for drill hole BA-2007-1 with assay results greater than 1 % zinc listed in the table below: ----------------------------------------------------------- From To Width Ag Pb Zn DDH (m) (m) (m) g/t % % ----------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------- 2007-BA-1 39.33 97.26 57.93 140.44 1.66 2.51 ----------------------------------------------------------- including 57.62 66.77 9.14 54.57 1.19 4.59 ----------------------------------------------------------- including 76.83 91.16 14.33 414 3.74 2.47 ----------------------------------------------------------- and 118.6 121.65 3.05 44.3 0.15 1.05 ----------------------------------------------------------- E. Kruchkowski, P. Geo., a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101, is in charge of the exploration programs on behalf of the Company. Drill core and surface samples are assayed by Assayers Canada of Vancouver, BC. Mountain Boy Minerals Ltd is a Canadian based mineral exploration company whose activities are in the Stewart and McKenzie area of BC. It is actively exploring for gold-silver-base metals on the Silver Coin project, silver-base metals on their American Creek properties, copper-gold in the Stewart area, porphyry molybdenum in the Stewart and McKenzie areas and copper-nickel-platinum group metals in the McKenzie area.
