Key Energy Services, Inc. (Pink Sheets:KEGS) today announced the opening
of a fully integrated multi-service facility that will offer a
complement of production services as a natural extension of Key’s
core business of well services. The “Super Yard”
will consist of all Key business segments, which include Pressure
Pumping Services, Electric Wireline Services, Fishing & Rental Services,
Well Services and Fluid Services & Logistics.
The facility, which totals 50,000 square feet under roof and covers
approximately 40 acres, currently has more than 100 employees, with an
additional 150 to be added over the next year. From this location, Key
will service a 100-mile radius of the southern Barnett Shale.
Dick Alario, chairman and CEO, stated, "Our new multi-service facility
marks a transition in our offering from pure well services to a
complementary package of well production and stimulation services. Our
customers are increasingly interested in Key providing more than just
rigs and trucks. We have a tremendous opportunity in the Barnett Shale
to combine our businesses in a way that brings higher value at the well
site.”
Key executives and Cleburne city officials celebrated the addition with
a ribbon-cutting ceremony and lunch provided by Stewart and Stevenson of
Dallas.
