Isomet Announces Second Quarter 2007 Results

SPRINGFIELD, Va., Aug. 24  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Isomet Corporation (Pink Sheets: IOMT) announced today for the second quarter of 2007 consolidated net revenue of $811,000, compared with $874,000 in 2006. A consolidated net loss of $(200,000) or $(.10) per share was incurred in the second quarter compared to a net loss of $(118,000), or $(.06) per share in 2006.

For the six months ended June 30, 2007, consolidated net revenue was $1,578,000 compared with $3,345,000 in 2006. The six month revenue total for 2006 includes $1,500,000 from proceeds of key-man life insurance coverage. Without this amount, revenue from operation was $1,845,000. The six months ended June 30, 2007 resulted in a net loss of $(418,000), or $(.20) per share. Including the $1,500,000 non-recurring proceeds referred to above, net income in the first six months of 2006 was $1,303,000, or $.64 per share. Without the $1,500,000 non-recurring income amount, a net loss of $(197,000), or $(.10) per share was incurred in the 2006 six month period.

Receipt of new orders for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 and 2006 was $692,000 and $1,240,000, respectively. Receipt of new orders for the six months ended June 30, 2007 and 2006 was $1,468,000 and $2,081,000, respectively. Unfilled orders totaled $687,000 and $1,065,000, respectively, as of June 30, 2007 and 2006.
