Hannover House Sets Release Dates for Edgar Allen Poe's Requiem for the Damned

   The original feature production of "Edgar Allen Poe's Requiem for the Damned" was completed and delivered to Hannover House by Allegheny Image Factory, the Pennsylvania-based production company for the film. Hannover House has set a USA home video release date of July 5th for DVD, Blu-Ray and Video-On-Demand formats, with international licensing to launch at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Hannover House is the entertainment division of Target Development Group, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: TDGI).

"Requiem for the Damned" features five, contemporary presentations of classic tales of terror by Edgar Allen Poe, including "The Fall of the House of Usher," "The Tell Tale Heart," "The Black Cat," "The Pit and the Pendulum" and "Murders in the Rue Morgue." Supervising producer for the project was Robert Tinnell ("Airspeed," "Believe") with segments directed by Johnny Bones, Tony Baez Milan, Aaron J. Shelton, Anthony Vingas and Tinnell. Writers engaged to adapt the Poe stories were Robert F. Keith along with segment directors Milan, Shelton and Tinnell. Producers were Jason Baker, Mike Berry, Johnny Jones, Theresa Danko, Richard R. Nelson and Shelton, with Jeffrey Tinnell and Jeffrey D. Imbrescia serving as Executive Producers.

The acquisition of the title was announced at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010, and was the first of a series of production pre-buys for Hannover House. The completion of the film marks the first fully delivered pre-buy for the company. Other production pre-buys for Hannover House include the current, 3-D theatrical production of "Dances with Werewolves," and the upcoming comedy "Wild Oats," with Christina Ricci and Shirley MacLaine.

The USA home video release from Hannover House will include individual items in both the DVD and Blu-Ray formats, as well as a combination DVD/Blu-Ray Collector's two-pack that will feature a collectible book edition of the original Poe stories, alongside the screen adaptations created for the film. Promotions for the video release will include targeted publicity and ads targeted to reach fans of science-fiction and horror films.

"Requiem for the Damned" is one of thirty-six new video releases planned from Hannover House during 2011.
