TEMPE, Ariz., Dec. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- In early October, Green Planet Group, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: GNPG) announced the outstanding results of dynamometer testing of its AAQIS On-Demand Hydrogen Generator when applied to a gasoline-fueled 350 cubic inch V-8 engine. In that phase of testing, the AAQIS generator produced a 40% improvement in fuel efficiency and a reduction in exhaust emissions to very nearly zero. These results vastly exceeded projections by the Green Planet AAQIS engineering team and encouraged accelerated testing of the device on a diesel engine.
The AAQIS revolutionary technology utilizes the electricity generated by a vehicle's engine to break down water into its base elements, two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. This "HHO" gas is then fed into the engine's air intake and mixed with fuel resulting in improved mileage and reduced emissions.
Earlier this month, Green Planet management and engineers returned to Klein Engines of Phoenix, Arizona for further HHO Generator testing on King Dyno's SF-902 dynamometer. In this round of testing the Green Planet Group engineering team utilized a Chevrolet V-8 Turbo Diesel 6.5 liter engine. As in the earlier gasoline engine tests, data was collected through a Windyn computer interface software program, recording accurate data spreadsheets and graphs, and monitoring various temperatures, pressures and flows while the team kept a close check on the engine performance, fuel consumption and emissions throughout each run.
Test results on the much larger bore diesel engine proved the validity and value of the AAQIS HHO Generator, producing a reduction in fuel consumption of 28% and a reduction of emissions, as measured by a Wager Opacity Meter, of 60%. Green Planet Group CEO Ed Lonergan noted, "This is early stage testing on the diesel engine and we are already strongly encouraged by these remarkable results. Although it is early in our testing program, we can already prove the cost/benefit value of our generator for operators of heavy equipment, buses, farm equipment and trucks. Our team of engineers and consultants is fine tuning the generator/engine interface through programming of the onboard computer engine management system. As great as our test results have been so far, we believe we can do even better."
The AAQIS subsidiary is on target for the completion of five preproduction prototypes by January 15, 2015. It is anticipated that over-the-road testing of the HHO Generator will begin in the first quarter of 2015. Lonergan concluded, "With this testing we are proving the old saying that Less is More. Consider this – In September of this year the U.S. used over 6 billion gallons of diesel fuel. With the 28% reduction in fuel consumption our AAQIS HHO Generator delivers that number would have been reduced by more than 1.7 billion gallons, saving Americans over $5.95 billion in one month. By burning less fuel and producing less polluting exhaust, our AAQIS HHO Generator will deliver more savings and value to our customers and do more to reduce ozone-eating, lung-clogging hydrocarbon and particulate emissions."
