TOKYO--Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (7270.TO) on Wednesday lifted its profit forecast for the current business year after saying it will log a Y47 billion special gain on the sale of stock Polaris Industries Inc. (PII) in its third quarter earnings.
The manufacturer of Subaru cars revised up its net profit forecast to Y207 billion from Y178 billion for the 12 months to March, as a result of the one-off gain from the stock sale.
Fuji Heavy said it sold 3.96 million shares in the U.S. snowmobile maker on Tuesday.
