Canadian Energy Exploration Inc. Announces Appointment of Director

Canadian Energy Exploration Inc. ("Canadian Energy" or the "Company") (TSX
VENTURE:XPL) is pleased to announce effective immediately, Mr. Robert Poole has
been appointed to the board of directors of the Company.


Mr. Poole has been the President of Skirmat Consulting Inc., a private
consulting company, since its inception. Mr. Poole graduated from Queen's
University with his B. Sc. (Honours) in Chemical Engineering in 1980 and began
his career as a petroleum engineer with Getty Oil Canada Ltd., which carried
into a position with Imperial Oil. Mr. Poole went on to hold engineering
positions with J. M. Huber Corporation, Morrison Petroleum Limited, Fossil Oil &
Gas Ltd., and Elk Point Resources Inc. From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Poole served as
Vice President, Operations and Engineering at BXL Energy Ltd. Mr. Poole went on
to hold similar positions at Gentry Resources Ltd. (from 2001 to 2007), and
Great Plains Exploration Inc. (from 2007 to 2010). 


Mr. Poole is a professional engineer and a member of A.P.E.G.G.A. with a
membership in the Society of Petroleum Engineers and has been part of the
management of, or assisting through consulting, small oil and gas firms with
strategic and technical advice.


With the appointment of Mr. Poole, the board of directors of Canadian Energy now
consists of Mr. Lawrence B. Buzan, Mr. John C. McGilvary and Mr. Robert Poole.


In connection with the appointment of Mr. Poole, the Company expects that
trading in the common shares of the Company will resume shortly.
