Whetstone Announces Investor Relations Agreement With CR Financial Research Inc.

Whetstone Minerals Ltd. ("Whetstone")(TSX VENTURE:WMI) announced today that it
has entered into an investor relations agreement with CR Financial Research Inc.
("CR Financial") whereby CR Financial will provide investor relations services
including preparation and dissemination of written reports and articles
describing the publicly disclosed activities of Whetstone and interaction with
investors and shareholders. In consideration for these services, CR Financial
will receive $3,000 per month for an initial 6 month term, which term may be
extended for a further six months on terms to be mutually agreed. In addition,
CR Financial has been granted an option to purchase 250,000 common shares of
Whetstone at an exercise price of $0.15 per share exercisable for a term of two
years from the date of grant. The options vest as to one-quarter thereof every
four months, commencing on the date of grant. The investor relations agreement,
the payment of the cash fee and the issuance of stock options are subject to the
approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.


There is no prior relationship between Whetstone and CR Financial, nor is there
any prior direct or indirect interest in Whetstone or its securities or any
right to acquire such an interest on the part of CR Financial. CR Financial,
based in Toronto, Ontario provides research services to public companies as well
as institutional and accredited investors.
