WOLVERINE MINERALS CORP. ("Wolverine" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: WLV)(FRANKFURT: 4LP) is pleased to announce that it has expanded its holdings in the Dawson Range Project Area as part of the option agreement with Strategic Metals Ltd ("Strategic"). (See news release of September 16, 2010).

In the Dawson Range Project Area a total of 658 claims aggregating approximately 13,754 hectares have been acquired as follows:

The BBB Property- An additional 103 claims were recently staked to cover extensions of geochemical targets; specifically, an occurrence known as the Toast anomaly. At this location, the Yukon Minfile data base reports that "heavy mineral concentrates from the creek contained up to 14,000 ppb Au and a float sample assayed 27.2 g/t Au". This property now abuts the Klaza property of Rockhaven Resources where recent very significant results were reported (see news release of Dec. 14, 2010)

The CCC Property- An additional 232 claims were staked to cover widespread anomalous arsenic values in local creeks.

The DDD Property- An additional 192 claims were staked at the DDD property to cover the large area of anomalous arsenic in stream sediments and to link the property to the CCC property. At the southwest corner of the DDD property, an additional 51 claims were staked to cover the extensions of the recently acquired Shamrock Property and the associated porphyry copper system. (See news release of December 21, 2010).

The Dade Property- An additional 80 claims were staked around the core area of the Dade property to cover possible extensions of known mineralization.

All of the properties described above have been acquired from Strategic for the cost of staking and will become part of the option agreement between Wolverine and Strategic.

The technical data in this news release has been reviewed and approved by James M. Dawson, P.Eng, who is a qualified person under the definition of National Instrument 43-101.
