Williams Creek Release From Escrow Regarding Closing of Private Placement and Changes to the Management Team and Board of Direct

Williams Creek Explorations Limited (TSX VENTURE:WCX) (the "Company" or "WCX")
announced on March 24, 2010 that it had closed, in escrow, the previously
announced private placement of 50 million common shares (the "Shares") at a
price of $0.05 per share (the "Placement") for total proceeds of $2.5 million.
It also announced changes to the Company's management team and board of
directors.


On April 5, 2010 the TSX Venture Exchange issued a bulletin that is accepted for
filing documentation with respect to the Placement and accordingly the
conditions of the Escrow have been completed and the Closing is completed. The
Shares issued under the Placement are subject to hold periods under Canadian
securities law and regulation and the requirements of the TSX Venture Exchange
which expire July 25, 2010.
