Troon Closes Financing

Troon Ventures Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:TVN) is pleased to announce that it has closed
a private placement of 4,400,000 units at a purchase price of $0.25 each for
aggregate proceeds of $1,100,000. Each unit consisted of one common share and
one share purchase warrant, with each warrant entitling the holder to purchase
one additional common share of the Company at $0.31 on or before January 28,
2010.


The common shares issued and the common shares underlying the warrants are
subject to a four month hold period that expires on May 29, 2008.


The funds will be used for general working capital purposes and for exploration
expenditures on the Company's properties.
