Trivello Acquires Sickle Gold Claims in Northwest Territories

18/02/2010 1:01pm

Marketwired Canada

Trivello Energy Corp. (TSX VENTURE:TRV) (the "Company") is pleased to announce
that it has acquired the Sickle Property, located approximately 13 km northeast
of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. The property consists of five claims
totaling 1,611.5 acres (652.2 hectares), acquired via ground staking, and is
situated approximately 4 km northwest of Trivello's recent Tom Gold Mine
Property acquisition. This increases Trivello's mineral claim package to 2,261.7
acres (915.3 hectares) - see news release dated February 2, 2010.

Within the Yellowknife area, historic gold production from the Con and Giant
mines totaled more than 13 million ounces of gold, largely from shear zones
within volcanic rocks.

The Sickle Property is situated along the eastern margins of the Yellowknife
Greenstone Belt and is underlain by low grade argillites and turbidites of the
Walsh and Burwash Formations, and felsic volcanics of the Prosperous Formation.
All units are Archean, near vertical, and become younger moving east. Historic
gold exploration has been focused on a calcareous black argillite unit, near the
contact of the Prosperous and Burwash formations.

The Sickle claims encompass three main historic gold showings termed the 'Drag
Lake', 'Anne' and 'Arseno'. The Drag Lake Showing has received the most
attention with drilling occurring in 1988 and 1990. Historic results include:

- Drillhole 88-1: 0.6 g/t Au across 13.6 metres (true thickness unknown); and,

- Drillhole 88-11: 3.88 g/t Au across 14.1 metres (true thickness unknown).

Drill collars directly adjacent to the property, at the Drag Lake Showing, include:

- Drillhole 88-3: 0.4 g/t Au across 9.9 metres (true thickness unknown); and,

- Drillhole 88-4: 5.0 g/t Au across 2.4 metres (true thickness unknown).

Surface results include chip samples of 3.43 g/t Au across 6.71 m, within
sheared and silicified andesites from the Anne trenches, located directly
adjacent to the property. A grab sample on the property from the nearby Len
Trench returned 7.23 g/t Au. In addition, pit samples from the Arseno Showing,
approximately 2 km to the south, returned 5.6 g/t Au over 5 m. Drillhole 90-7
targeted this showing and returned 5.9 g/t Au over 0.8 m. The Anne Showing has
not been drill tested although it was recommended.

The technical information provided above for the Sickle Property was prepared by
Darren L. Smith, M.Sc., P.Geol, a qualified person as defined by NI 43-101.
