Shear Wind Announces Director Resignation

Shear Wind Inc. ("Shear Wind") (TSX VENTURE:SWX) announced that effective October 21, 2011 director Jose Fernandez Olano has resigned from the board of directors of Shear Wind. The board of directors and management of Shear Wind would like to thank Mr. Fernandez Olano for his contribution and commitment to Shear Wind. His expertise was an appreciated contribution to the board of directors. Shear Wind wishes him all the best in his future activities.

Genera Avante Holdings Canada Inc. has asked that Jaime de Lacalle Noriega be considered as a suitable candidate to fill the vacancy created by Mr. Fernandez Olano's resignation until the next annual and general meeting of Shear Wind. The appointment of Jaime de Lacalle Noriega will be considered at the next board meeting, currently scheduled for Wednesday, October 26, 2011.

Shear Wind board of directors continues to work with the Management Team to provide long-term strategic focus to the benefit of the shareholders.
