ePals(TM) Partners With Fingerprint to Provide Children's Digital Media Apps Worldwide

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - Apr 15, 2014) - ePals Corporation (TSX-VENTURE: SLN), an education media and social learning company, today announced an agreement with Fingerprint, a global mobile technology company, to develop a custom mobile learning network featuring ePal's award-winning children's magazines, digital content and community management platform. The custom mobile learning network will enable family members and other parent-approved users to communicate and collaborate around engaging, educational content while providing parents with informative dashboards about their child's activity and performance.

"This partnership and the addition of a new mobile learning network is part of ePal's overall strategy to foster collaboration around educational content in school and at home, on the mobile device of their choice," said Katya Andresen, CEO of ePals. "Fingerprint's technology combined with ePals' award-winning content and safe social learning platform will provide a place where kids, parents and educators can collaborate in an engaging and educational way."

Fingerprint provides turnkey mobile solutions that help global brands and content creators better connect with customers through tailor-made mobile networks. Its enterprise platform solution enables brands like ePals to license and develop customized versions of Fingerprint's learn-and-play kids' network. As part of the partnership, ePals will offer its digital content to Fingerprint's growing partner networks around the globe including the upcoming Samsung KidsTime service in Southeast Asia.

"ePals is an ideal partner," said Nancy MacIntyre, CEO and co-founder of Fingerprint. "For the first time we'll be reaching both parents and teachers alike, who are searching for meaningful digital content -- apps, ebooks, games -- that inspire learning and hone academic skills."

The ePals Mobile Learning Network will launch worldwide later this year for iOS and Android.
