Silk Industries plc (the "Company")

Result of Shareholder Meetings


The Company announces that at the AGM, the court convened shareholder meeting
and the EGM of the Company held today, all the resolutions considered by
shareholders were duly approved, including the resolutions required to effect
the recommended offer for the Company by Tayvin 300 Limited.

Subject to the sanction of the court at a hearing on 6 November 2003, it is
envisaged that the scheme of arrangement will become effective on 7 November
2003.
