Sonomax Punctuates Commitment to Top Line Growth Engages Bruce Jones to Head Sales and Marketing

20/06/2008 8:00pm

Marketwired Canada

Sonomax Hearing Healthcare Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SHH) announces the engagement of
Bruce Jones to the Sonomax team as Vice President of Sales and Product
Marketing. Mr. Jones has a strong sales background, boasting a successful 18
year career at Future Electronics where, in the course of his tenure, he
advanced to the management of a large part of the US and Canadian sales
organization, including responsibility for 260 people, 18 locations and in
excess of $300M in sales revenue. Mr. Jones ultimately rose to the position of
Senior Vice President of Global Product Marketing, where he managed over 550
people on three continents and all of the product marketing activities of the
company. Future Electronics is a multi billion dollar enterprise, with over 5000
employees and over 150 locations worldwide.

After leaving Future Electronics, Mr. Jones joined Solectron Corporation, a
Contract Manufacturer of electronic assemblies with sales of in excess of $10
billion from operations around the world. While at Solectron he was responsible
for Global Sourcing for all Distribution Procurement and Corporate Component
Engineering.

Said Mr. Jones, "Sonomax has developed world class, patent-protected, high-tech
products that are unique, disruptive, and have applications in mega-markets. My
judgment is that we have in Sonomax an opportunity that doesn't come along too
often - an opportunity to build a true Canadian success story. I have worked
with Dan Casey for over 15 years. He is a marvelous team builder and I know that
he will establish the same synergies at Sonomax that he has throughout his
career. I look forward to working with him and everyone on the Sonomax team, as
well as with our valued channel partners, to position the company as the
pre-eminent developer and producer of hearing protection solutions, MP3
earphones, communications devices, and an array of other products that will come
alive when married to Sonomax's expansion technology."

Sonomax CEO Dan Casey stated, "Bruce is a proven sales and product marketing
veteran; we consider ourselves fortunate that he made the decision to join
Sonomax. His North American sales experience in the industrial sector is certain
to accelerate sales in our core business - advanced hearing protection and
proof-of-performance testing."

"At Future Electronics, Bruce became expert in understanding and managing the
intricacies of distribution, particularly in the context of a complex sales
process. He will make good use of this skill-set to closely manage and achieve
robust sales growth through Sonomax's licensee network worldwide. At Future, he
was called upon to execute 'product design in' engineering sales with customers
in North America and manage the process of 'booking the order' in Asia where the
manufacturing was located, often through a sales force that was not under his
direct control. He is uniquely qualified to take Sonomax to a position of
quarter-over-quarter sales growth and create a structure and process that will
ensure execution of the company's short-term goals, with the ultimate objective
of achieving the kind of result we did as a team at Future Electronics."

In Conjunction with the appointment of Mr. Jones as Vice President of Sales and
Product Marketing, Sonomax granted a stock option to Mr. Jones in respect of
400,000 common shares at an exercise price of $0.14 representing the closing
price of Sonomax shares on the TSX Venture exchange on June 19th, 2008. The
option was granted under Sonomax's 2001 Stock Option Plan subject to approval by
the TSX Venture Exchange.
