SG Announces Appointment of Chief Financial Officer

SG Spirit Gold Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SG) ("SG" or the "Company") is pleased to
announce the appointment of Kate-Lynn Genzel, CA as Chief Financial Officer of
the Company, effective immediately. Ms. Genzel is a Chartered Accountant with
both public practice and industry experience with a focus on junior mining and
exploration companies publicly listed in Canada and the United States. Ms.
Genzel holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the Sauder School of
Business at the University of British Columbia and is a member of both the
Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia and the Canadian
Institute of Chartered Accountants. 


The board of directors of the Company wish to thank Samuel Yik for his
contributions to the Company during his tenure as Chief Financial Officer.
