Seprotech Consortium Awarded Middle-East Contract Valued at $ 4 Million

    




 OTTAWA, Jan. 18, 2012 /CNW/ - Seprotech Systems Incorporated  is pleased to announce that a  Canadian Consortium lead by the Company and including WESA Group Inc.  of Ottawa, Ontario, has been awarded a contract in the Middle-East  valued at approximately $ 4 Million CAD for environmental engineering  and construction supervision services. The contract is for a Naturally  Engineered Wastewater Treatment (NEWT) system at an industrial facility  currently under construction for a bauxite mine and aluminum smelter in  the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

 The project is an ecological wastewater treatment system designed to mimic the cleansing functions of wetlands. The process is based on fixed-film technology and the ecological  functions of a natural tidal wetland. "This is a very important project  for Seprotech and represents our first contract in the Middle-East  where water scarcity and conservation are paramount as they represent a  major hurdle to economic growth," said President & CEO Harry Marshall.   "We have only been working with our new partner in Saudi Arabia for 3  months and this relationship is already bringing in excellent results.
