Strongbow Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SBW) is pleased to announce that it has now closed two recently announced claim purchase agreements, thereby consolidating its ownership of the Inza copper-gold porphyry target in central British Columbia. Strongbow acquired a 100% interest in three mineral claims (claim numbers 580141, 580143 and 580279) by issuing Kelly Funk a total of 125,000 common shares of Strongbow. Under the second, separate, agreement Strongbow issued a further 125,000 common shares to John Bot in exchange for a 100% interest in an additional two mineral claims (claim numbers 580125 and 580126). The Inza copper-gold porphyry target is located in the prolific Quesnel Trough in central British Columbia. The 7,260 ha property is road accessible, located 54 km north northwest of Fort St. James. Previous work in this area by Rio Algom in 1990 identified three broad multi-element soil geochemical anomalies coincident with a regional magnetic anomaly. The soil anomalies range in approximate size from 800 m by 800 m to 2,000 m by 2,000 m. At the time of the Rio Algom work, the area was accessible only by helicopter. In September 2008, Strongbow conducted a brief field evaluation, resulting in the collection of four rock samples from an altered biotite-feldpsar porphyry identified along a logging road that now crosses one of the Rio Algom soil anomalies. All four samples returned anomalous metal values, including 136 ppm to 9,450 ppm copper, background to 798 ppb gold and 34 ppm to 711 ppm molybdenum. This subcropping intrusive rock coincides with the western edge of a subtle magnetic low within the larger magnetic anomaly, potentially indicative of magnetite destruction relating to silica and/or potassic alteration that is often associated with porphyry-style deposits. Strongbow is currently compiling data for use in the planning of follow up mapping, geochemical and geophysical surveys, to take place during the summer of 2009. Samples collected during the 2008 field evaluation were submitted to Acme Analytical Laboratories in Vancouver, BC for 36-element ICP-MS aqua regia (1DX) analysis. Strongbow's exploration programs are conducted under the supervision of David Gale, P.Geo. (BC), Vice-President of Exploration for Strongbow and a Qualified Person within the meaning of National Instrument 43-101. STRONGBOW EXPLORATION INC. Kenneth A. Armstrong, President and CEO
