VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / April 24, 2014 / Rhys Resources Limited (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Bailey as President, CEO and Director of the Company
Mr. Bailey brings 35 years of experience to his role as President and CEO of Rhys Resources, with particular strength in oil and gas acquisitions and development in Western Canada. He has extensive work experience with major Canadian oil and gas companies complemented by key exposure to junior public companies. Prior to 2005, Mr. Bailey was a Vice President in an exploration group at EnCana Corporation. In 2005 Mr. Bailey became a founding shareholder, officer and director of a junior oil sands company. The company was sold to Athabasca Oil Sands Corporation in 2010 for a transaction price of $144 million.
Mr. Bailey has been active in Alberta since 2010 advising clients on reservoir engineering and corporate asset transactions.
The Company also wishes to announce that Scott Parsons has resigned as CEO of the company but will remain with the company as a Director.
