New Member Joins Rimfire Team, Incentive Stock Options Granted

Jason Weber, President and CEO of Rimfire Minerals Corporation (TSX
VENTURE:RFM), is pleased to welcome Patrick Moodie to the Rimfire team as
Manager, Corporate Communications. Prior to joining Rimfire, Mr. Moodie held the
position of Investor Relations Manager for a junior company focused on the
exploration and development of renewable energy resources. Patrick holds a
Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Alberta and has completed
the Canadian Securities Course. He will be a valuable addition to the Rimfire
team and will play key role in Rimfire's communications strategy and delivering
news to shareholders and the investment community.


Incentive Stock Options Granted

Rimfire has granted a total of 165,000 incentive stock options to officers and
employees of the Company at a price of $0.90 expiring July 16, 2013. All grants
exceeding 25,000 per optionee will vest over two years. Options are granted in
accordance with the Company's Incentive Stock Option plan approved at the Annual
General Meeting held June 20, 2008.
