Quantum Adds to Board of Directors; Hires BID Capital

Quantum Rare Earth Developments Corp. (TSX VENTURE:QRE) ("Quantum", the
"Company") is pleased to announce the addition of Erin Chutter to the Board of
Directors.


Erin Chutter is the President and Founder of Puget Ventures Inc., a TSXV listed
mineral exploration company advancing the Werner Lake Cobalt Mine in Ontario,
Canada.


Active in politics since the late 1980s, Erin has managed and advised campaigns
at three levels of government, as well as party leadership races. She has also
served on staff to federal and provincial ministers and leaders. Currently, she
also serves on the national board of the Canadian Taxpayer's Federation and the
Macdonald Laurier Institute.


"Erin is a very positive addition to our Board, having demonstrated her ability
to seek out and manage sizeable projects," states Peter Dickie, President of
Quantum. "We envision Erin taking a proactive role in the development of our
current assets and additional assets the Company is investigating."


The Company is also is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with The
BID Capital Markets ("BID Capital").


BID Capital is an experienced corporate communication firm headquartered in
Montreal, Quebec. They will be providing Butler with enhanced corporate
publication materials, as well as presenting and organizing presentations to
current and prospective shareholders in both English and French. Terms of the
nine month agreement with BID Capital calls for payment of $8,500 per month. BID
will also receive options to acquire 100,000 shares of the Company.
