TSX Venture Exchange Approves Polar Star Issuance of Shares to Terence Walker

Polar Star Mining Corporation ("Polar Star" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:PSR)
is pleased to announce that further to the May 4, 2009 press release regarding
the issuance of 250,000 common shares of the Company (the "Shares") to Mr.
Terence Walker M.Sc., P.Geo., the Company's Vice President, Exploration, the TSX
Venture Exchange has approved the issuance of the Shares to Mr. Walker. The
issuance of the Shares to Mr. Walker is for services provided to the Company
pursuant to the terms of Mr. Walker's agreement with the Company dated December
31, 2007.


The Shares are subject to a restricted period that ends on September 12, 2009.
