Nordex Explosives Announces Appointment of Controller for Expansion and Increased Activity

NORDEX EXPLOSIVES LTD. ("Nordex" or the "Corporation") - (TSX VENTURE:NXX) is
pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Sean Conroy, CGA to the position of
Controller. Mr. Conroy will be responsible for overseeing the daily
administration of Nordex with a specific focus on optimization of operational
efficiencies, cost analysis, fiscal controls, product pricing and human
resources. Mr. Conroy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from
the Schulich School of Business, at York University. In addition, Mr. Conroy
received his Certified General Accountant designation in 2001 and was previously
employed as Chief Financial Officer at Temiskaming Hospital in New Liskeard,
Ontario.


President and CEO Jim Taylor states; "With the continued expansion of Nordex
through our satellite distribution centers, joint venture projects and increased
demand for our emulsion and perimeter control (Johnex) lines of explosives it
was necessary to engage additional personnel to maintain our high quality level
of service. Sean will be instrumental in assisting management implement and
maintain its expansion strategies and provide key reporting functions in order
to achieve increased gross margins and profitability."


Mr. Conroy will be located at the Corporation's head office in Kirkland Lake,
Ontario and will report directly to the President/CEO.
